Warning: This strategy contains a lot of cheese because is not the "intended" way to play a democratic USA but it works (sometimes). I haven't used it on historical focus but I think it's also possible to do it.

The strategy is quite simple and sometimes work, sometimes not. It depends basically of:
- Rhineland
- Anschluss
- Spanish Civil War & number of volunteers sent.
- Annexation of Venezuela.
- Claims on Yugoslavia.
- Revocation of guarantees on every American country.

- Keep 20 military units and change template to infantry division, disband the rest.
- Garrison 10 units on the pacific, prepare an invasion to Caracas with the other 10. Put your fleet on search and destroy on the caribbean sea. (You can merge your entire fleet if you assign New England as the supply port)
- Put 4 factories to infantry weapons, 1 to ART, 2 to fighter & 2 to naval carrier.
- Day 1 -> National focus to Monroe Doctrine to preemptive intervention.
- With your first 150PP hire "Standard & Oil" for 150 free PP (Alf Landon)
- After this, save all the incoming PP.
- At the time you start preemptive intervention (it's scripted) Japan starts "Chinese Border Incident"
- Declare war on Venezuela and annex it quickly. Change economy law to partial mobilization. (You can win the war on 20-30 days easily).
- National focus on WPA.
- Put the game on speed 2.
- As soon as Japan finish "War with China" focus, revoke guarantee on every american nation. It's going to increase world tension in 10 points more or less. At this point world tension can be around 23-25 depending if Italy went for Yugoslavian claims but it's not needed.
- Japan doesn't start the two wars at the same time.
- URSS, Germany and Italy start sending volunteers raising the WT above 25%.
- If Japan starts the war with Shanxi, guarantee China. If not, guarantee Shanxi.

Then you can put your national focus on "Issue War bonds" and start the 2WW on July of 1937. :)

Just out of curiosity, why would you disband all units? You get freemanpower from Philippines, so you can raise divisions from their manpower (well a little bit of yours as well).

I wasn't used to puppet mechanics, so yes, you can use manpower from Philippines.
