The per-eminent Super Power he's referring to is Great Britain. XD (The colonial possessions being Upper and Lower Canada during the 'War' of 1812.)When did the USA invade a colonial possession of Napoleonic France?
Yes, I gathered that. It's just that Britain in 1812 was fighting for her life against France, a country which was only eventually defeated by Britain, Austria, Russia, Prussia, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands all ganging up on her at once - so calling Britain rather than France "the pre-eminent Super Power" of the age seems a little peculiar. The per-eminent Super Power he's referring to is Great Britain.

I think Americans like to pretend Britain in 1776-1812 was already the superpower she would become in Victoria's reign, because it makes them feel more special.![]()
(It was, of course, exactly the fact that France lost the Napoleonic Wars that allowed Britain to go on to become the pre-eminent superpower of the 19th century: but that was only after 1815.)
Unless you're Native American. Then its the point where your last ally gives up on you leaving you with no option but to continuously renegotiate increasingly more unequal treaties with the hypocritical expansionists.

Only if they ever include the US in any way. Maybe there could be a special event chain that would allow token US forces to join in the fight in Europe? I didn't think it was feasible at all in this timeframe, but I could be wrong.
Edit: And as for Britain being the superpower of the world... There were two superpowers, Britain was the "World" Superpower, in that, they projected their strength all through the world. Meanwhile, France was the "European" Power, in that it dominated in Europe, but not much elsewhere in this timeframe. So while the "war" of 1812 was really kind of sad, it was still impressive the few victories that Americans won. Though, everyone knows that the real reason we fought that war was cause we couldn't think of a national anthem, and wanted inspiration.
A mod popped up in the mod forums claiming to have a western hemisphere map. Maybe we will have what we all want after all.
Do you have a link to this March of Eagles mod forum? Am I just blind or is it not stickied on the main forum page?
I'm calling it right now: It's for the upcoming Sunset Invasion-esque American liberation of Europe DLC. Kind of like D-Day, but then around 230 years earlier.
Maybe you are blind, for for your sake, here. http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?778-MotE-User-Modifications
