Hi everyone, so, it's 1946 and the UK is alone against germany with only his colonies, USA has troops all over eas and west coas but they simply dont move them, no D-DAY no Operation Dragon no Invasion of Italy, by 1944 germany anexed USSR and now is litteraly UK vs Germany.
The USA in my games either being allied or not to UK does not do anything to fight in the war and only lets his troops on the coasts, am i the only one with this problem?

I would say the USA strategy relies on Germany facing multiple fronts. It'd be difficult enough to convince Germany to surrender with landings by every ocean even by a person, but the AI is hopeless.

USA eventually starts strategically nuking Germany like crazy. If the player has nukes to use tactically against German divisions, they will soon run out of manpower.

"God is Dead," spake Zarathustra.

Multiplayer at least lets players form peace treaties, the AI is in constant deathmatch mode. I suppose forming treaties and declaring cores and nations is only possible by specific events. Having the kind of peace syatem in EUIV for HoI would ne neat. It would really open up for traitorous betrayal and espionage, "the show must go on," type of scenarios.

Peace treaty is possible, just not with major powers. I agree that the diplomacy system should be improved to reduce dependence on events.

This could be also fixed by changing German AI to attempt Sea lion after barbarossa, producing paratroopers, marines, subs and CVs and eventually invading Britain or starving them with subs.

Currently, even if they win in Europe, Asia and Africa, they just wait for nothing while being nuked to centre of Earth. Not to mention that they build their own reactor in Berlin, first target for enemy nukes, so they can't even respond :D

They don't do anything against japan either. I've never, not even once seen the us take iwo jima or okinawa. It can be 1946 with germany out of the war and there is not one single us ship in the pacific, even tho they are at war with japan

Pretty sure you've been unlucky. As Japan I tend to avoid war with the USA as long as possible because they start island hopping.

Give computer-USA more IC and free divisions. I notice from 1933 campaign starts they have less than 100 infantry divisions from 1944-1945. Make their IC at 1000 by 1944-1945. Also give them free transport ships every month.

I know there is a way to alter the aggressiveness of the AI in a file somewhere; changing that would make the AI far more D-Day aggressive, but i cannot recall where its located.
