USA Civil war question

Hello all, I am playing as the USA, its 1857 and I have been trying from day one to get the civil war to fire so I can get it over with.
Now my ally Austria and France have gone to war with Germany and the UK and have asked that I join them. I would like to to help lower UK and Germany's score but I am afraid that the CW will fire while I'm fighting the UK.

so my question is, will the CW fire if I am at war with another country, or will it wait?

I one had it fire while I was at war with the UK and Mexico...I quit that run shortly after.

The event for it occurs if slavery is legal, John Brown's Raid occured, if the Dred Scott decison event has fired, and if your UH is at least 40% liberal. And of course if you're the US and the civil war hasn't occurred yet.

It's likelihood increases as you approach 1861, so you should be safe for a few years. Should being the key word.

did you make sure to raise no CSA-core troops and limit how many states were slave states? If it starts out a crippled mess, firing during a war might not be as bad as it could be

yea, it fired right in the middle of the war with the uk...but I didn't give them any new states and they had no army...it was no big deal..
