Is Usa and Uk are allies of the USSR after Operation Barbarossa? Do you like the Hoi3 will fight on separate?
If you form the unholy alliance the Axis and comintern will be disbanded and germany and the soviet union form an new faction.Well does the Communist faction disband if the USSR joins the Axis?
Well they didn't work together tho..@Victor Cortez: He is asking whether the Allies and the Comintern will ever join forces(and faction) like in real life, or if they will "counts as" separate forces that just happen to both be at war with the Axis a.la. HoI2&3(and probably 1, but I haven't played that one, so I don't know for sure).
As for the answer to said question... I ain't got a clue, but if I had to guess, I would say "no", simply because that's how it's worked before.
Then again, I also believe the reason they built the game like that is because there haven't been mechanics in place to represent factions breaking up, and they wanted the game to be able to progress into a cold war or "operation unthinkable" type of situation.
If these "rules" have changed, then it's possible the soviets can join forces with the allies... but I do not believe it to be the case.
The soviet union never was part of the allies. They were simply common enemies of the same enemy. They highly distrusted each other, but needed each other to be able to stop the german advances. If not for the nuclear bomb the war would have continued after world war 2 with the soviet union and the western allies. We actually had that exact scenario with the cold war, where only the nuclear weapons kept it really cold.
yes, but stalin was also very upset that until the soviets actually pushed back the germans the western allies basicly did nothing on the ground, with the exception of air attacks of course and let the russians die. At that point it basicly became an race to berlin to secure as much nazi tech before the other side does.True, although they did have joint meetings with the big bosses at Jalta, Teheran and so on.
Russia/Comintern did recieve a massive help from the allies, without the LL they would probably not have made it.
Doesn't sound like it would be interesting to play (unless you are the one alone)It would be cool if factions could "ally" formally (like the United Nations), in a war. When the War is won this alliance will be gone.
Probably various from player to player whether they like it or not. Would none the less open up for many interesting strategies, etc. Especially since you can create your own factions in HoI4, so I dont mean an alliance between Communist and Allies, for example. That I can understand is "boring".Doesn't sound like it would be interesting to play (unless you are the one alone)
True. There were plans to bomb Soviet oil fields by the Allies, as they were supplying the Germans. At points it was hard to decide whether or not the Soviets were allied to the Germans (from the Allies viewpoint), since bomb were on the war pathWell I do hope that they force the allies to decide whether or not to declare war on the Soviets when they invade Poland. They had to make the choice IRL.
