I decided to give the USA a try. First, we were shocked that the UK made peace with the Boche. But then the Japanese attacked us on Dec. 7, after which the UK decided to join my alliance. Unfortunately that means that Canada and the rest of the Commonwealth are fighting the Nazis as the Allies but they are at peace with Japan. So this is all a bit strange.

The problem is there are simply not enough air commanders for the US airforce.
I have 54 generals and 96 air units.

I was hoping for a big influx of commanders when 1942 rolled around, but it didn't happen, or perhaps they did and were just sucked up immediately.

Looks like I'm going to be stuck with a bunch of level 0 lt. generals.

Certainly, the USA has 54 commanders, I think 1 of them is a Lt. Gen and he's old guard, I think 20 of them are level 1, so that leaves me 33 that I can promote one time and still have at least a level 1 commander. It just doesn't seem right to me. The only way I can have enough generals is to promote them to the point of (almost) useless.

Foulois is the LT. Gen. He retired from the Army Air Corps on Decenber 31, 1936 and should not be there. I go into the leader file myself and delete him as well as that zombie, Admiral Benson, who died in 1931. He (Foulois)took over running the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson and never returned to active duty. The problem is that this mod, and some others uses the inverted funnel approach to air corps rank. Ever try to fill an upside-down funnel??? That is it requires 25 aircraft formations for a maj. gen. to get autopromoted to Lt. Gen. but way less than that for a lt.gen. or air gen. to be promoted.

Take Spaaztz (level 4), manually promote him to a lt. gen. (lvl.3) Remove him from command' turn auto-promote on and he should get promoted to a level 3 air general. In another day he should become a level 3 air marshall. Repeat for Arnold etc.

What I did was turn off auto-promote and removed all of the commanders from air units stationed in the USA for a while, until a batch of 5 FTR and 5 TAC were completed, that got me to 101 air units. I turned auto-promote back on and within a couple of days I had 6 new Air Generals and 2 new Air Marshals, and a few LT. Generals.

I also noticed that a few land generals got promoted as well.
