Hello to everyone reading this,

Has anyone already sugested more north american content? I absolutely love this game and i was in love with it since day one so I don't mean this as a complaint. It's more like a question/sugestion. I understand that the devs tried to include both American and European content but the game looks and feels too european to me. I have to rely heavily on mods in order to create an american city. My current save is almost 3 years old and it's almost 80% mods ( almost 9000 assets, buildings, roads, utilities and props using up to 33 Gb of RAM ).

But this is not the problem, i will buy as much RAM as needed and any US content pack as long as it is official. It just sucks when half of my city is gone because one of the modders removed one big housing pack. A while ago one modder removed a road network and that almost ruined my save. I have almost no vanilla roads in the game so my save will be at the mercy of other modders.

In the end, i guess what i am trying to say is that, it would be great if the Paradox devs would aproach this game or any other sequel to this game like SCS Software approached Euro & American Truck Simulator. Genneraly the same programming and the same physics engine but different content. I think it will make both of our lives easier.

Thank you.

Actually from a European point of view there is also much room for improvement: E.g. narrow roads, less "rectangular" shapes and options for car-free districts. So yes, having some flavour packs would probably be nice for everyone.

Yea, it also seems quite Americanish from an Australian POV, and certainly from European or Asian POV. It's not quite fully American, it is quite generic than just USA themed, but from the POV of foreigners, it seems quite Americanish. I live in Australia. I've been to the USA, Canada, Greece and Singapore. Out of all the countries I've been to (including Australia), CS resembles the USA more than anything else. It's not completely USA-based, but more USA than anything else

Well, I live in Sydney, Australia. There are actually three types of places in the city- those that were built before the car really took off- these have narrow streets and little parking- those built between the train and the car. These have narrow roads near train stations, and no parking near train stations, but nearby areas away from train stations have wider roads and more parking, whilst the brand new areas of Sydney resemble the current game as it is- nice wide roads and plenty of parking. I drive all over Sydney for a living. So it's not that Cities:Skylines is unrealistic when it comes to parking (like so many people claim), as I said, I drive all of Sydney and there are parts of Sydney where I have no issues with parking. Parking isn't perfect, like it is in CS, but it isn't horrific either, so it's too unrealistic, but it is a bit unrealistic.

This is an issue where in CS, you build modern cities, rather than historic type cities. That's not the part that makes USA centric. The part that makes USA centric is the highway structure
