Would there be an easy way to create an IGC scenario where you start off as the US (emphasis on easy, I haven't done any scenario editing before)?

There's a Vinland/USA 1492 option that comes with the IGC. There's an AAR on it in this forum by Olaf.
I tried that scenario in igc where you play as usa, that thing is damn hard. Has anyone been able to get anywhere with that scenario? then again i played at hardest levels too maybe that had something to do with it.
What version of IGC were you using? It gets a whole lot easier in v2.1. Of course I think it gets a whole lot harder in v2.2.
