I'm playing as Italy and I have all my fleet in the Black Sea. Essentially I'm talking about two squadrons one (the Regia Marina) with several screens, 4 BB, 2 CVL and a 2 CV and the second (the Libian Fleet) with 2 CVL and several screens (DD+Light Cruisers). All the coast around the Black Sea is occupied by the Axis and the Bosphorus as well. The URSS fleet of SS is still alive after months of attacks by the two above mentioned fleets helped in the detection by an airplane.

How it is possible that the SS are not running out of supplies? How it possible that after months I'm not able to sink them?

First off, I advise you not to mix your two CV with heavy gunships like BB. You can safely recall your heavy surface fleet to other seazones and let the CVL+DD group hunt the subs (they're great at that).

Second, the subs are definately out of supply, but that doesn't mean they will just cease to exist. You will still have to sink them, but they will have a somewhat large penalty to their combat efficiency.

Thrid, if you don't own Armageddon + latest patch 1.2, I advise you NOT to use the ASW mission, as it was bugged and only recently fixed.

Thank you for the advice I read some stuff about that but I'm still confused because I read that the CV are useful to push back the enemy and the BB are intented to destroy it. What if I would like to destroy the enemy as well as to win a match in the skyes.

I'm sorry but they are not. They are fully supplied and this is a fact.

I have it but I still should install it (I cannot do it for a while).

A CTF (carrier task force) consists of CVs, CVLs and screens and is great at winning sea battles. A SAF (surface action fleet) consists of BBs, CVLs and screens and is great at sinking enemy ships. Both have their merits but they should not be mixed. The reason for that is easy: The game calculates the optimal distance between the two opposing fleets (optimal for the side with the higher positioning). CVs have a range of 150km, while BBs have one of 40km. So the distance will be either too long for the BBs to fire (while they will still get hit by enemy CVs) or so short that your precious CVs get shelled by enemy gunships.

HoI2 does unfortunately not distinguish between gunships and aircraft platforms. Both are dealt with the exact same way, just with different firing ranges. What you want is easily accomplished by using a BB fleet and your airforce (NAVs, CAS or TACs), though.

I'm sorry but they are not. This is a fact.
How do you know that? In the battle screen, do they show any modifiers? Have you loaded as them?

Then you shouldn't use the ASW mission and instead just use sea patrol or whatever it's called. Or just park some DDs in each of the Black Sea zones.

Ok. That means that a CTF will always beat a SAF but is not sinking any ship?

In the battle screen I can always see the org level. Both org and number of units is at maximum (almost).

I defeated the SS I don't know how many times but they are still there healthy and in a good shape;)

I'm using "interdiction".

Next time you fight them, pause and look at their modifiers (hover the mouse over one of their subs in the battle screen). It should read something like "-20% Out of supply")... Sea units work differently than land units. If they are not supplied, they will have problems moving around and fighting but will stay alive forever...

CTFs in general more regularly drive the opponent away from the sea zone than destroying them outright in comparison to the SAG. (The SAGs sea attack is like 3 times as much)

This is the reason why I had BB and CV in the same fleet: to fire as much as I can at the enemy when the distance between the fleets is getting close enough.

When I cut off the supply of the british mediterranean fleet this wasn't the case: the org level (because it was out of supply) was very low.
