AndrewT,
I have a new problem. I went to my ISP and changed my settings, so now that I have configured my laptop to be included on my service to my bigger console(which is not working right now), After I press Start Rome, the first thing I get is a warning that I do not have a large enoiugh video memory to run the game properly and then I get a error message telling that I need a PixelShader 2.0 and am ejected fromthe game. I went to upgrade to a PixelShader 2.0 and found out that I can not get an upgrade but need to get a new video card installed. Is this correct?

Is there anyone who can tell me, is it possible to upgrade to a PixelShader 2.0 or comparable program which will handle the programming nessasary for EU:Rome or should I take my monster (my huge console) down and have someone who knows what they are doing reprogram it so I play the game without further difficulty? The problem with this console was that I loaded every Anti-program that came along and it now has so much crap on it I can't get it open properly and everything is banging off each other so much that the PCU can't figure out what it needs to open and won't... well I f**ked up by loading so many competing Anti-software, Anti-Virus, Anti-anti programs on it that I put my Emergency Recovery DVROM and let it spin and now I can't get it to start again. I call it my live and learn experience. I don't need anyone to tell me I screwed up just tell me if I can get a update to PixelShader 2.0 or should I just take my console down and have it cleared out, reset the programs and start again.

Why did you post in this thread? It's nothing whatsoever to do with this question. I'm moving these posts into your own fresh thread.

Pixelshader 2 is not a program, it is a hardware feature of video cards. Your card either has it or doesn't, there's nothing Paradox can do about it. The requirement for this and for 128mb of video memory are printed on the game box, and listed as requirements on Gamers Gate and I assume other download sites such as Steam and Impulse.
