Thanks for the quick response! I became sold on Total Realism while playing Doomsday (actually it was Rome Total Realism a year or so ago). After it seemed that TR was now going to Armageddon and dropping upgrades of DD, I downloaded Armageddon (~3 weeks ago)with the sole intent of only playing the Total Realism MoD (and that is still my intent). I am finding it difficult though to find anything meaningful on Armageddon -- no "rule book" came with the download, no read me file, no separate forum that I am aware of -- quite understandable considering. Is there some place out there listing the bugs for Armageddon as well as the "rules"? IMHO, vanilla Armageddon seems not worth the effort -- perhaps that accounts for the lack of interest as well as for the need of TR's mod. Let me repeat myself -- I only bought Armageddon in order to play the TR mod.
There is no separate rulebook for Armageddon.
The changes can be boiled down to:
1) Naval Brigades (still bugged, but not as bad as 1.0 or the Hotfix)
2) Ability to build (some) units with brigades already attached.
3) Ability to modify the end date (from the Options Screen).
4) Ability to take over annexed tech teams.
5) Ability to take over annexed IC (at 100%, but resources are still at 20-35%).
6) The two new scenarios (mainly designed for MP).
7) Slight changes to Naval Detection and combat (small fleets are harder to detect, especially from the air)
8) Slight changes to Air Combat (units now take some strength damage, not just ORG damage.)
(Probably more that I can't think of)
Known (major) bugs (not all Armageddon specific).
A) Only the first brigade will upgrade.
B) Sometimes the AI will go berserk and start creating 2 Empty Fleets EVERY DAY. (This seems to be caused by/linked to Military Control as not every player encounters it.)
C) When a stack of units take strength damage, most or all of it seems to affect the same (usually first) unit in the stack.
D) Mission efficiency seems to be bugged. Some mission types (mostly naval/air) have the reversed effects.
E) Many typos.
(For a more in depth listing (along with rants) you can try reading the STICKIED notice that the 1.1 patch is out.)
Not really bugs, but annoying all the same.
I) Very few new techs for the increased time frame (1955 - 1964)
II) No new events (except death and election events) for the new time frame.
You have to understand that the increased time frame was added for the MODDERS, not for the player in general.
