It seems to me that with the new DLC fleet retrofits are

A. Much more Expensive (though it could just me being unused to the alloy system yet)
and
B. Take a lot longer.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm also surprised there are no bonuses or resource uses that speed up retrofits.

Yeah, your observation is true. I guess they were made more expensive to make it harder to quick-upgrade your fleets to perfectly counter every opponent. Right now large retrofits are much more serious decisions.
