Upgrade question

Have come back to HOI after a while playing Vicky. Haven't got time to fire it up now to check, but.............................if I upgrade an armured division with say an engineer brigade or whatever, if it didn't have one originally?
This might sound a bit gamey, but i'm pretty sure when a division was re-equipped it would also be re-organised to some extent, i.e. a 1944 Pz Div would be a different structure from a 1936 one, larger perhaps, more support services, etc?

Sorry, you can't attach an extra brigade after it has been ordered/built (I would like that option myself too). IRL, Heer-Panzerdivisions lost a lot of their armoured components between 1936 and 1944 (not to mention the difference between real strength and on paper strength) but this is also not accounted for in Vanilla HOI. Every panzerdivision throughout the war, for each country is the same division. If you want lots of various models, you may want to try CORE.

yep, have got CORE but playing through my first new game in vanilla, cos its easier
