Upgrade Pc for HOI4 and EU4

Game is kinda slow at Start date on HOI4 and EU4 then get SUPER slow late game 1939 for HOI4 is where it get noticably slower(Unplayable at 1942) and it is in mid/late 1600 that it get unplayable in EU4

What should I Upgrade to get faster and stable throughout the game?
(Like youtuber Darkslide for exemple(Maybe not THAT fast but the closet possible))

AMD Fx-6300 3.5ghz
AMD Radeon R7 200
8GB of RAM
1TB Hard Drive
(all are 2 years old)
Budget : 400-600 CAN$ (the lesser the better)

Depends. Do you want to play any other game or do anything else than playing EU4 and HOI4? Remember that you need new RAM and a new Mainboard too.

Guess then going with a Ryzen CPU is not the best idea. You might want to take a look at the i5 7600. For RAM and Mainboard you might want to consult a canadian PC forum. I'm not sure that you will get any good answers here.

I have exactly that setup (except I have a 256GB SSD) running Windows 10. It slows down in late 1944/early 1945 but is still playable. I scale back the video settings some to allow faster play.

I have found the best CPU you can get makes the difference. And then a SSD is always nice. I only have a small 250GB one, but you can move games on and off it in minutes through Steam.

People are having serious performance even with top PCs so I don't think it will help you much

for games, an i5 is great for now, almost nothing really takes advantage of more than 4 threads, and an i7 splits your cores into 2 threads

Separate video card (GPU in 21st century speak). The onboard graphics is my computer's weak spot, and it also takes away from available RAM.
