So basically, i think that an upgrade all button might pose problems so i suggest that a way of setting which buildings should be automatically upgraded similar to the species rights mechanic should be implemented

You can queue up all the upgrades for a specific building (so long as it's not a basic science lab) by shift clicking the upgrade triangle.
