Updrading the tank radio costs the same as producing a new tank.

I developed a new tank version, the onlyh new thing is the radio model.

But the cost of upgrading is the same as the cost for producing a whole new tank with the exception of the materials.

Is like melting the whole tank to get the iron, and produce it again from scrratch.

I think it would be easeier just to change the radio.

This is a recognised problem with the new tank system. The original set up was too open to exploitation by building an incredibly cheap tank and then upgrading it. As a result the upgrade costs have been changed. Currently the upgrade system doesn't recognise the changes you are making and simply charges a "standard upgrade cost". You can improve it by acquiring the "cheaper upgrades" technology but it still isn't worth upgrading tanks unless you are changing from the cheapest possible tank you can make to something substantially better. This can be a viable strategy when you build cheapest possible and then upgrade when your target techs become available but the rather sensible "I just want to fit a new radio" doesn't currently work in a useful way.

I think there is an assumption amongst players that this will be addressed in future and will become more like the naval upgrade process, taking proper note of what is being changed and charging accordingly.
