Can you log out, clear your cache and cookies and then try again? From our end everything looks good and you should have the same access as everyone else.

I'm finally back from vacation so things will get done ! Some things are still in the pipeline including the re-introduction of the missing icons and some backend stuff!

I get the syncing part i.e. from Stream -> Paradox - but unless you want to buy games directly from Paradox then you would never want Paradox to be able to add something to your steam account and certainly not revoke access to games.

When paradox change the connection to be read only, or at least make the writing part optional, then I will connect my steam account - not one second before.

I don't want to lose access to my games because Paradox have a glitch in their syncing software causing me to lose access to my games, even if its only temporary.

So please Paradox - make the connection readonly so I can get the support that I deserve without putting my life (games) in your hands.

We don't have the ability to remove or add games directly to your Steam account, the only way we can remove something is if you for example ask for a refund and we disable the CD key. We also can't add things directly to your Steam account but what we can do is add a Steam key to your Paradox account that you can then automatically redeem to Steam via our account page.

We are basically using a Steam API that makes a call to the connected account and checks it against a list in our database. If you have product X on your Steam account and product X = Crusader Kings II you get credited with the icon and all related access. It should also be noted that we only see a list of Paradox games on your account, other games are not visible to us.

Unfortunately, as soon as I disconnect the Steam account, all of the games not fulfilling criteria 1 or 2 disappear from the PDX account. No amount of syncing, signing out and re-logging helped.

This is the way it is designed. If you break the connection with your Steam account you will loose access since access is granted is based on product ownership.

I guess the API you use only lets you determine that someone owns a given product, without providing a GUID identifying which specific copy it is?
So if users got to keep them, there'd be no way to revoke them if the Steam account was connected to a different PDX account?

Each game on Steam has a unique identifier and this is mapped to a specific item in our database. The item in our database has a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) that identifies what version of the game you own (for example Stellaris has three different SKUs, one for each edition). This SKU is then mapped towards the Owned Item part of the forum and grants access and/or icons.

We can't see your CD key for example nor can we see any specific details of your copy other than which version. The only exception to this is if it's bought from Paradox Plaza, then we see the CD key as well as transaction ID (as they are needed for support matters).

Aa no, sadly not. Our API call to Steam is quite simple and something along the lines of "What Paradox product identifiers does this account have and what SKUs do they translate to?". We don't get much information from Steam, we actually don't even see the account name .

This is actually a known issue. We are investigating why the game isn't appearing under the Games tab as it doesn't seem to affect everyone.

There is! You can still redeem those codes using the "Register a Game" button at the top as long as those keys have not been registered on another account.

Greetings. I am an old Costumer of yours,but was never active in the forums.
Only reading and observing the dev diaries
Now i would like to inform me about some mods for HOI IV but i am not able do go to this forum because my games arent registred.
But that aint true because i synced my Paradox Account with my Steam account and they are shown on the my games site but not on the owned item site,where i hit sync too, in the paradox account.
Can somebody help me?

Edit: ahh , i think i finally merged my two Accounts together. It should be working now or?

Thank you. Unfortunately GOG doesn't provide keys for the really old games like EU1+2 or HoI1. I guess I'll have to dig for my old boxes and see if there are codes in there somewhere.

The old boxes usually had a forum code printed on the back of the manual, if you find it and send it in a ticket I can check when/if it has been used (if it doesn't work for you) and credit your account manually.

Well lets wait for Tinywiking; as mentioned I'm 99..99% sure that if you can post now you are merged. And 99% sure that if you have posted since the migration you are merged. Tinywiking is the latter true?

One issue we are seeing is that people had more than one account. They had the e-mail associated with one of them forward to the e-mail they use for the main account. It then looks like they are getting the mail for their main account they use now, when in reality the message was for an old account they may no longer use or be aware of. Keep in mind we have rules against having more than one account, just one more reason for that rule.

Doesn't this indicate name changes?

It means that if your account isn't merged before the 12th that account will have its name scrambled and when you then attempt the merge you will be prompted to enter a new name. All merged accounts will not experience this. Oh, and before you ask "why can't I have a name change?", it's because of reasons that will become clear in the near future .

Posts from accounts that are unmerged come December 12th will still be around but the name will be the scrambled one. Deleting old threads from unmerged accounts could wreck havoc with the forum .

Unmerged accounts aren't able to post so I think you may be incorrect. Furthermore if you do see someone making a post with the name unmerged it probably means they've merged but the database hasn't updated their new name (unmerged(91227) doesn't exist in my records for example).
