I have broken the connection to Steam, re-connected and synced and it was still missing.
I was able to add it using CD-key from Steam...

Sometimes you need to log out of your Paradox account, then back in again, after doing a sync.
Help please, I lost my old account and can't get back into it to unlink my steam from it. Is there another way to unlink the steam account?
I tried the listed steps and it shows 23/54?
Also when I tried the activate under keys it locked my steam account and now I cannot make any purchases for my Stellaris preorder.
Update:
I was finally able to make a purchase on Steam to get Stellaris. *sigh* they locked my account when I used the Paradox activate keys under my account. I was able to get all the keys finally activated properly. I still have one remaining but it is glitched. It shows in the list but says already activated.
I went through the steps again and even tried disconnect and reconnect Steam account.
Now it shows for sync owned items: 24/54
Well at least Stellaris is on my account, I do wish we could download ahead of time. I can't think of any excuses to call in sick for Monday 5/9. So when I get home I have to start the download on my little connection.
One bonus, I have two of my friends who have also purchased Stellaris I think in part because I keep going on and on about it and how amped many of us are to get started with it : )
Space is a big, big place and in that place there is just enough room to fit the massive amounts of friendships going on

First I preordered Stellaris, and then I made a Steamaccount. Then I synchronized the accounts like descripted.
But: I don't find the game in Steam. I synchronized it multiple times at owned items, but still....
Is the game not listed before release or what went wrong so far?

The game itself will likely not show for you until release day.

Indeed, it is quite strange, after preordering Stellaris on the Paradox shop, not to have the game before release day... but people preordering on Steam already have it in their Steam library. I know they can't play it yet, but it does feel strange nonetheless.

So I have Stellaris but I have refused to link my steam account.
The original post promised no repercussions for people refusing to do so, although I see that it was slightly modified. Ok, I get it that I can get tech support from support desk, and I can live without reporting bugs, np. but my question is how to get access to Modding and possibly other fora? Or am I screwed?
I have voiced my concerns regarding this linking months ago in this and other thread and was never answered by Pdox staff.
So, is linking mandatory, the only just and correct way? I do not recall such information, although it might have been hidden somewhere in the licence agreement.
edit: Nevermind. As you said you read the OP my post was superfluous.
They decided to stop CD Keys as being a thing and only go with Steam synchronisation.
An alternative way for access to subfora as for modding ?

Thank you, this is what I have been trying to figure out to get a stellaris avatar. (I really wish they would of included the robot race as an avatar.)
I cannot sync my steam account with my forum account as the account is shared with another person (my brother wouldn't be able to register his games then and vice versa). Is there any kind of workaround so I can register my base games for sub-forum access? Normally that's the only thing I register anyways. Currently I need access to Stellaris forums.
