Accommodation at one of the Scandic Hotels with 10% discount for 2 nights
1442 SEK/night = 150.33€ per night
Total cost of the expedition to this 2 day event for me alone would be 590.56€
It's a little too expensive for the opportunity to be the first to see your announcements, play your new games(!), enjoy seminars and party like it's 1999!

You can get a bed in a hostel for ~€30/night.
Also, I'm finding Amsterdam-Arlanda flights for €80 for a return trip.
I prefer hotels to hostels in my old age, but I'll take that into consideration.
I find nothing cheaper than 138.60€ for 13th May - 15th May and the only price that comes close to what you quoted is if I were to depart one day earlier for €85, which means another night's stay.
So, could you please provide a link to these flights you found?
Failing that, I wish you all a fun event and I might save myself a lot of travelling bother and money by just putting my feet up at home and watch any stream your Community Developer may produce

Searching on Momondo theres 85€ flights from the 13th - 15th return with KLM.
My hotel/hostel i got for 115€ (for 2 nights with breakfast) but that was a weird cellar domitory but with privacy and lockable bed area. the Red Boat was around the same iirc when i booked. Though it was friday -> sunday

The Momondo link shows me a cheapest return of 99€ for a flight from the 13th - 15th return with KLM.
That will be a useful link for future visits to Sweden, so I am grateful for that. Visiting my family in Dalarna will be a more justifiable expense than this 2 day excursion.
I'll enjoy the PDX from home and wish every attendee a fun time for their money.

Yes, it's possible to request a refund if you are unable to attend.
There is a mail going out this week to all ticket holders with more information about registration at the event as well as general info (including t-shirts!).
@Escher Will PDXCon be live streamed on, say, Twitch? You know cause if there are going to be a lot of announcements, talks about Paradox games I'd like to watch via live stream if possible and not miss out you see.
Just got the e-mail, do I need to print the ticket purchase receipt for registration at the event, or a screenshot on my smartphone will do?
I did not receive anything yet, apart for the first e-receipt when I bought the ticket 4 months ago. Paradox, will you keep up updated?

Just found the email, it was buried in a bunch of spam about work. So hyped for this, booked my time off work today, got a Swedish Phrasebook this time so I don't have to... point at a map and say "Vasa?" to some nice old lady on the bus. Although I know my way to everything this time, so I'm probably set. Looking to hang out with some fellow nerds... Good times are comin'.
Got to wonder if Quill18 was invited this time, after he couldn't make it for the fanmeet.
Oh and my biggest advice for any of you guys who haven't been before, go to Chokladfabriken... I think that's the spelling. They're not far from the Paradox offices. All I know is they served me hot chocolate in a soup bowl and thus they are my god now.
