Yeah who could imagine a games company treating customers badly if they're confident they can still take your money. Wild conspiracy. If you think cutting paradox a free pass will do anything to stop this happening going forward I admire your faith.
Personally the amount of misinformation shared by paradox is still an issue even though it has no affect on actually getting the content I pre-ordered.
Again NOT PARADOXS' FAULT. IT IS MICROSOFTS. This was something out of Paradoxs' hands. If you want to yell at the resposoble party GO TO MICROSOFT FORUMS. Why is this such a difficult concept?

So is it working or not? It says installed, but in the game menu it says "Go to Xbox Store" not "Activated" and in the store it says installed but still has a price tag.

Someone fucked this up bad, and they'd best unfuck it as quick as possible because shit is right on the line of decency at this point.
Literally what heppened with everyone else

Guys DO NOT (if you're thinking about it) spend $20 on this, please. Alot of people already have, this is called enabling and it's 30k kinds of wrong. Just hold fast and stand your ground. Id really hate to hear people give in and buy it and then only to turn around and try to get a refund only to get screwed outta that too.

Its not enabling, but it is a bad thing to do,
its a waste of money. And it rewards Microsoft for its incompetence.

A company that took your money can’t pass it off as not their problem. Since they have my money and I haven’t gotten what I paid for, they should give partial refunds to everyone who paid in advance. THEN if they want to re-examine their relationship with MS, that’s fine. This is absolutely their problem, whether or not it’s their “fault,” and a smiley face thanks-for-your-patience message doesn’t cut it. Provide what’s been paid for, or start refunding.

Exactly. And it most definitely IS enabling. Bc when you have an option to still purchase the dlc with money while people who already paid DONT, that is a fucking problem. Like others have stated, take the option to buy it OFF THE MARKETPLACE UNTIL ITS RESOLVED. Not a hard concept to grasp.

well since you want to get technical, you bought it through a 3rd party, and since it is not the first party who failed but the third, it is the third party you need to seek your refund from.

Well, still not working. Still says installed, but doesn't say it's activated and keeps feeding me to the store.

Well done, Paradox. You've driven away one long term customer at least, 100% for sure. Unless you seriously make this up somehow.

What a damn shame I still had shit left to buy for Crusader Kings, but guess y'all are going to miss out on that money now.

Microsoft, you're this fucking close. I just renewed my Live membership, so you've got a year, but I'm sick of your shit too. The entire gaming industry has gotten so fucked up it has literally begun to turn me off of one of my favorite creative mediums.

Suck a cock, the both of you companies, you used to be so awesome but you got greedy and let it lead you astray.

Again ITS NOT MICROSOFTS FAULT PARADOX HAVE MISHANDLED THE SITUATION. nobody made paradox repeatedly change their story about release times through the day. You can even see it in this thread. First mod says "the good news is it will roll out while we sleep" second mod says "soz we'll get back on it tomorrow :)". Smh

If all of us gamers would stick together, we could literally change the way games are nowadays. We understand these companies are here to make money. We get that. Thats ANY company. But when devs fail to deliver on their promises, shove out buggy half finished garbage (Anthem, for one), shove microtransactions in our face in almost every fucking menu, cut content just in order to make a few extra bucks by selling it as dlc, etc. Bc why delay a game a month or 2 to polish it when we can release it NOW and make money, let the player base BETA TEST IT, then release a patch? You think their gonna stop doing all this shit if we don't bitch? Bc half the playerbase doesnt give a shit. I'm mean fuck, look at games these days....theres fucking 15252 versions of the same game! Seriously, over a $100 for a game and all you offer is a cheap ass statue and a few character skins?! Stop feeding the machine and it'll starve.

Or better yet...Never bite the hand that feeds you. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a gamer whos been around since the Atari 2600....ive seen the industry take a huge dump.

We should bombard Microsoft with questions and get some straight answers
i already did that and all they had to say was Our Live engineers are now working with the game publisher in resolving our concern. Sadly there is no time frame being posted just yet, but considering this is a major outage. This should be updated with in 24 hours, if not earlier. You can also reach us back on a later time, to check for updates. I deeply apologize if there isn't much information I can provide for now, aside from we are now working on a resolution, as we speak.

I won’t pretend that I’ll boycott anything and won’t play the DLC immediately when I can, but I am a little annoyed at how this is being handled.

When my company has a bad release or outage, we are (rightfully so) expected to stay awake doing everything possible and giving updates until it is fixed. Regardless of who is at fault, even if it is completely unrelated and out of our control, customers still have expectations and we try to meet them.

So, it doesn’t matter if Microsoft is at fault, which may or may not be the case, because it isn’t Microsoft who the customers think of when problems show up. Either way, Paradox is a large enough publisher to pressure Microsoft stating they need to make their customers happy ASAP. Someone should be working on doing that until it is fixed, not signing off and checking in the morning to see if it got fixed for your customers.

Lol...working on a resolution as we speak....i.e. we'll fix it when we fix it and if you dont like it oh well...we already gotcho money, Suckas!

Its not really funny, but at this point I'm pretty tired of being pissed off.
