Any information at all, Paradox? Even if the reasons why have to be kept secret, some sort of rough ETA would really relieve some frustration here, and let us know whether we should wait for steam release or try some circumventative way through the UK.

Bumping this up. Would have really liked some sort of response over night. I know we are a small market but come on.
All our government has to do is copy off the smart chick next door. It's worked well for them in the past.
I'm almost through Pathfinder Kingmaker so I'll keep rolling with that even though the end game area is a real slog.

I already have, and have been playing the game but I still would like to see a response and explanation from Paradox why this happened.
That's weird - I pre-ordered on Steam as well and was able to download and play yesterday.
There may be some variation by state. WA in particular has harsher restrictions about even possessing an unrated game.
Maybe, but shouldn't the error message say "state/province" rather than "country" in that case?
Selling and distributing unrated computer games is illegal by national law in Australia.
Right now in Australia I could buy on Steam a game called Dominate them All. I will not link to it, and I will advise against anyone going to look at it as well. I cannot buy CK3. It's not entirely clear who is responsible for this, but what is clear that someone has f-ed up royally. Probably a various someones from a variety of organisations and at different times.
Be really nice to get even a vague sense of when we might be able to buy this game, and whether Paradox will offer us anything, not compensation exactly, but just something so we are left with a pleasant, rather than a bitter taste in our mouths.

Since our only option to get the game in Australia is to purchase a key from a third party. Can paradox please advise if they will honour the preorder bonus for australians once the issue is fixed as indicated on their post on the 26th for those who had to purchase a key and not just those who order at a later date via the paradox store or steam?
It is not the Australian classification board's fault if Paradox didn't reach out to them about the game to begin with and that they used a third party agent for the job. It was all reported in the articul kotaku Australia made about it saying: "So I contacted the Classification Board. After pressing for a response for a week, a spokesperson got back to me and denied having any contact about CK3 from Paradox, or Koch Media, at all"

I'm in WA and had no problem pre ordering nor installing. I've around 10 hours in the game already. Although this is a federal issue, WA is easily one of the most relaxed states (as a few examples radar detectors are still legal and guns are easy to get) fwiw.
This is a disgrace and the silence is deafening, may your line die out and be replaced by monguls!
After watching this situation unfold over the last week I think disgrace is the appropriate word here. At the very least a huge mistake that calls into question just what the hell paradox and/or their partner were thinking. Rare case where our classification board is actually in the right which is even more astonishing.

Guys its getting a bit toxic in here imo. From what we know, it may not be Paradox's fault, or ACB's fault, it may be a 3rd party. in addition, ITS JUST A GAME! if you are gagging for it, go get a key from the UK.

Expect it to take a few weeks, think of the plus sides, game might get some more balance, game might get the custom ruler designer, hell, steam might even have it on sale by then.
