Update on Australian and New Zealand pre-orders [EDIT: September 7, 2020]

I have a different method to most to purchasing this game and it worked fine. Probably more steps than most people have used from gameplanet but dm me if you want to know more.

They updated the post at the start of this thread to say that if it is in your library then you would be able to download it. But that isn't happening.

Okay, I missed that update, although it was made yesterday, before release. But they still have little control over Steam.

Some community Dev is going to wake up in a few hours and discover that what Steam assured them yesterday was okay... isn't in all cases.

It's Steam you need to contact here, not Paradox (especially at 7am their time).

I'm going to assume that the issue is that the rating issues is that it wasn't properly submitted to the rating board. So based on that it would be days to weeks.

Currently the sales of CK3 in Australia and New Zealand are halted as we are investigating matters having to do with age ratings. We’re working on resolving this as soon as possible and Paradox will honor already placed pre-orders.

The situation in New Zealand has now been resolved. Preorders will resume as usual. We will keep our Australian community updated with development as soon as possible.

We are still working to make the game available for purchase for the Australian audience, but unfortunately we do not expect this situation to be resolved before the global release. Making the pre-order bonuses available for anyone in the affected territories that might have missed out is also part of these investigations. Already placed pre-orders will be honored from Paradox side

This is not what is reported in Kotaku Australia. The classification board had not been approached, so not sure why this is been used as an excuse by Paradox. See kotaku Australia. Paradox needs to confirm actual reason for not been released in Australia. Have been looking forward to playing this for a while now, and all I can do is watch it on utube/twitch. Come on Paradox, get this done for us down under.

lol just had to pirate game because game pass version wont launch and cant buy on steam. Don't enjoy piracy but i wont hesitate if the Devs leave me no option

It isn't censorship, we would know if it was banned. Seems like someone messed up the application, in other words it isn't the Australian Governments fault it's pdx's.

Have you seen how incompetent our government is? New Zealand managed to get it sorted out over a week ago, & they've been under a full lock-down.
