Inventions definitely need something more than money, perhaps some kind of timer or something. Otherwise, I can just buy them all up.

Also, more notifications or alerts would be nice. I know playing a big nation it would be annoying, but when I play as a city state I want to know when my pops change.

And when I seek treatment for the physician, he gets 300 cash. Quite a good deal to heal yourself and get money!

I'm sorry they did this to you. Mana seemed fine, since no one's bullied it out of EUIV. I personally just wanted you to include basic QoL stuff that was in EU4, like attaching units to docked fleets, and a diplo mapmode that differentiated between tributary and feudatory, and warscore that actually increased when you took a capital, and formation decisions that actually highlighted all the required provinces.

Maybe this dramatic post-release shift will just bring ruin, or maybe it'll revitalize the playerbase- I have no idea, but it's nice to see the developers still trying, I respect the commitment, and I hope it works out.

Here's to becoming Cretian pirates

I’m playing with Rome right now. I noticed that after full annexing Etruria I have much more income and manpower than I had in the previous patch. Is this intended?

After playing it, the first hotkey I miss is one to import resources in provinces.

Both blesses and inventions feel weird now, and some experiments can be done there.

The blesses without cost can be reworked, I like the appeasement mechanic from pharaoh, or making 2 simultaneous blesses but being applied random.

Inventions, I would change them to a short time of research that is also tied to the researcher head.

this version can be modded? some icons for military experience or the new buildings would be appreciated.

Why has demanding Cash for peace been removed? For small nations with weak economies they rely on fighting quick wars to take a bit of land and some money in the peace deal.

Demanding Cash for peace was done quite a few times historically as well. Such as the Hepthalites demanding money from the Persians.

Personal Opinion: Subjects of the same culture group not revolting is in its current form doesn't work as it just makes Parthia, Bactria and other smaller subject states of the diadochi unplayable, without the chance of a coordinated rebellion against their overlord you just have to hope they lose so badly that you get released in a war.

Very awesome! Thanks for giving us this sneak peak, I really look forward to the full release in a few months time. :)

Also I wanted to ask, is it possible to earn achievements in this beta? Thanks!

Hi :) no achievements in betas unfortunately. I'd assume this is due to potentially exploiting unfinished features that might be unbalanced.

Maybe instead of removing it only allow x% of gold from nation to be part of the deal.

Thank you so much for all of this, and for making it available so soon!

Is there a chance of getting the requirements for the Decision to form a Dictatorship as Rome reduced during this beta? I think in its current state, not being updated with its related actions during 1.1, it drastically limits or removes Rome's ability to form an Empire government. Which is basically an affront to the gods, historically speaking.

- Pops now migrate over time to neighboring cities, cities in the same province, or between provinces with a port in your empire. Manual movement of pops is now only possible for Slaves and Tribesmen (if you are a Tribe).

How will colonisation work then? Will you still be able to use patricians and plebs, but then you'll need to drag a lot of slaves around to move past the 10-pop limit, then use the same pleb again, rinse and repeat?
