does this mean that AI will stop built too much ships in peacetime and when someone DOWs it?

'* Some improvements were made in the Russian and Turkish AI's.'

Great, I hope that the Turkish AI annexes Memlukes fast so that we have a more balanced struggle between Austria, Venice, polen+Persia and turkey

'* Some minor tweaks to diplomacy AI.'

what about badboy? No tweaks for aggressive countries like Russia or Turkey?

You seem to fixed most of the flaws in game, damned now we have nothing to whine about :), thanx for the service...

Patch Installation

If I install the new patch when it is available, will the changes to badboy calculation and random conquistadors affect any previously saved games (like killing off my 125+ year old explorer)?

Yasko, thanks -- didn't see that post.

Tim, I think the badboy value is supposed to drop every 4 years instead of 10 with the latest patch.

- It will never be negative now.
- It will go down faster
- (insert any other changes I have no clue about :))

I'm a bit worried about the research change - this might change the game quite a bit.

Was there a bug identified in research costs? I know that as Russia in one stretch of time I was discovering a new Land tech every year for several years in a row.

Robo,

from what I gathered from other posts, I think the main issue eas that after a certain time, the human players had an unfair advantage over the AI in the fact that for some reason, their tech research went way way faster and they would dominate completely.

Once again, this is from memory, so I might get some facts a bit skewed :)

Cheers

This is to remove the expoit of Turbo Assaulting (repededly attack, call of assault 10-15 times) which could get even the strongest fortress to fall within days.

I'm also not entirely happy about this change but it's for shure much better the having the Turbo Assault bug/exploit.
I've suggested some other ways to implent a fix, that would allow you to break off if you see it's going to fail but those fixes would require a lot more playtesting to get it correctly balanced. Mayby for a 1.09 or even later patch ?

Not to be a pain but just wondering...How about the marauding unsupported artillery that can lay waste to a country? Also, some of the changes in the IGC seemed to be nice to haves, such as Tula having a Russian shield. Are any of the IGC changes going to make it to an official release at some point?

Thanks for working so hard to constantly improve the game!

Hmm, there are still bugfixes missing on the 'official' list:

* When a country was converted by force, it now can only reconvert after five years have passed.

This is fixed but not mentioned. :)

Does this mean no more 500-ship Polish navies? And no more nekkid capitals?

What about ping-ponging armies and marauding artillery?

Inquiring minds want to know.... :) Thanks.
