Update 1.04? deleted my saves and campaigns? [Solved?]

To clarify, you were still under the beta opt in version of 1.04 and moved over to release 1.04? Or you were under release 1.04 and rolled back?

Can confirm, opting out of Beta appears to bring everything back!

I was 1.04 beta, and I think I just got that update today. for some reason I think the main game got 1.04 update first.
I bet if I go back to beta (after saving a game) everything will work again. Just a chicken-egg issue.

Sigh, updated with new beta package ... no saved games as many here have said. No mods, nothing fishy. I've opted out of cloud saves, now only option is to opt out of beta and say another 4+ hours to run an update to not play the game today ... again!

Quite a thing to have all your saved games, literally tens of hours of my time and energy and some amazing games and gone. I hope this restores my games ....

I've now spent more time troubleshooting this game than I've spent doing so in any other games in total, that I've played in a decade.

I really like the game, it's pretty incredible, but hard to run and this patch and steam maybe or a Paradox login have screwed us over.

Same issue. Had opted into the beta. No saves found. Opted out, saves back.

I believe the Beta is still 1.03
1.04 went straight to live branch.

Note that the public_beta branch is still on Release 1.0.3 plus the additional Beta Launcher for BATTLETECH - we will also be advancing public_beta to contain 1.0.4 plus Launcher later this week.

So it could well have to do with the saves being touchy, but not because of mods in this instance.

How so?
The new patch is 1.04 main branch.
People not experiencing modding issues are having issues with the beta, the old beta. Or a chicken egg issue with beta and main branch versioning for 1.04. Opting out and thus patching into the newest main branch 1.04 is the fix.

Community members opting into betas are volunteering to test for Potential issues.
If this is not preferred, they should remain on the Main branch.

1. So you run into problems with the game crashing after successful missions, and being unable to log into one's profile.

2. Get told to opt into beta.

3. A few days later, one can't load campaign missions.

4. Get told to opt out of beta.

5. ???

Steam installed 1.04 last night.

Loaded up the game after and all my saves were gone(had 3 campaigns going), not too surprising since i had been experimenting with editing the game constants file so i replaced the file with my edited game constants file so all files were exactly the same as last time i played(minus whatever 1.04 patch changed i guess).

Still no saved games showing up.

Then i tried checking integrity of game files, it only replaced the edited game constants file all others checked out, as expected.

Still no saves showing.

Replaced game constants with edited file again, still no saves.

Gave up and started new campaign(with edited game constants file, so i know the file is not the issue).

Anyone have any ideas?

The Patch 1.04 is not in beta any longer so yes Really
