Interesting. Might I suggest some more cultures for certain nations though. OE is fine IIRC, Spain/France/England too, Brandenburg too since german is so large. Austria I don't know, but Muscowy has only russian. Perhaps give them Ugric too? Perhaps ruthenian/lithuanian as well? You may call me biased, but remember what Russia has in most MP scenarios ;)

I haven't studied the muscowy eventfile, but the reason for danish and brandenburg extra cores were that they have few in the beginning. Denmark get's more from Norway and Brandenburg a lot more from becomming Prussia and later on germany.

Don't know what other cultures muscowy gets, but they get a shitload of cores for sure.

On the contrary; AI dowing too much will lead to faster annexations and less trouble for the player, who will save stab and BB costs for conquering.

It will furthermore mean that AI dows each other more often, leaving them weak for players to invade.

Aladar, Russia only gets a shitload of cores, yes, but I'm not asking for cores. Russia gets only altai culture in 1560 (which is more than 200 years into the game btw). If you look closely you can see that entire northern russia (all provinces owned by novgorod except for novgorod itself) have ugric culture. Also kazan and some other territories within the core lands (russian steppes) have mongol culture. Hive has probably done this for historic purposes but you should agree with me that it sucks when you have only a 20-30 percent chance to convert territory that is considered your homeland. So I'd like ugric and mongol added to Russia. That's all ;)

I'll look into the Muscowy eventfile, but i don't wanna give it too many boost from the beginning. Russia will end up with a shitload of cores, probably more than any other country played. Having culture in all of them will give them a too large advantage i think. Mongol culture should be a must thou.

I'm considering a culture rule. Something like owning all of one culture for 60 years (like 3-4 generations back then) will get you the culture. For instance, England conquers all of the lowlands and hold all dutch provinses. If they can hold on to them for a straight 60 years, they get Dutch as a culture.

This leaves a few questions open thou. 1. Can you "annex" any culture (fareast ones too). 2. Can you loose a culture again and what would be the trigger for that.

Maybe make it a maximum of 2 cultures? So lets say after 50 or 60 years you claim one culture after holding all its provinces, then another and that's it.
Should prevent anyone from taking far eastern cultures.

75% of the culture provinces???

Yes you should loose culture if you loose all provinces with that culture for certain amount of years...

Can I ask what is this rule for??? I use galleys as an early warning system throughout the world and I don't see any need or reason for it to be changed. On the other hand why shouldn't Spain build a fleet of galleys to patrol throughout the Carribeans??? I must admit that practical use of this rule is beyond my reach atm.

On the other hand I would like to suggest few other rules that can be very usefull;

1. If at -3 stab and -99WS, you have to accept next stabhitting offer.

- very important for avoiding endless wars and gamey rejections of peace from spoiled players (like even some very expirienced with whom I have played)

2. Using pirates to stop a load onto the ships or deny a retreat is forbidden.

- no need for explanation

3. Give away cities or try to avoid some event to fire wont be permitted.

- if Spain, for instance, doesn't colonise Yarumal and sells two Aztec cities bankrupcy events won't fire - it is gamey and should be forbidden

4. Move capitols is permitted but the request nation will lose -3 stab points and 5000 ducats.

- this rule is not so important but we can appy it if there is a will for that

It's a historical for galleys to be used outside Europe. They were not able to cross the high sea, that's why.

Don't be gamey and keep it chill covers those. The GM will make sure.

I've played SP AoI now for a few nights, and nothing indicates that Guvenors all over europe is needed. So instead of that, we'll start with 3 guvenors, which means that we'll edit Magdeburg to Brandenburg to have 3 provinses.
