I just want to assure everyone that this mod (MDS, in this case) is NOT dead.
However, I'm not going to pretend that work on it has been speedy, nor that I've been any good at keeping people informed of progress on it. The main reason for my lack of serious work on this has been time; namely, the lack of it. Like most people, I have a day job (in my case, I'm a broadcast engineer) which places a considerable demand on my time. My job is also quite good at placing demands on my time above and beyond what a lot of jobs would (I spent two days last week working on the other side of the UK from where I live, to give you an example), and every minute that I'm working is a minute that I can't be modding.
In addition, there are other things that occupy my time. I have a girlfriend that I don't live with, for instance, and the act of spending quality time with her often involves travelling to and from hers, in addition to actually doing stuff together. It also means that a lot of the more tedious tasks in life (washing, tidying, etc.) don't get done as often as they should, meaning that I have to spend a considerable amount of time getting caught up on them when I finally get the chance to. I've taken a quick break from tidying up to post this message, for instance, and after I've done that I need to do some washing up and ironing, in addition to some cooking.
And, of course, I sometimes prefer to play games rather than mod them. I'm getting into Streets of Rage Remake and Crysis, and occasionally dip back into Oblivion when I feel like a bit of a change. And sometimes, I can't really be bothered to do much but read (if haven't already read A Song of Ice and Fire, then you'd better be in the process of reading it, that's all I can say).
All this is basically just my way of asking you to be patient with me and Supeerme. I plug away at MDS when I can, but the majority of what I'm doing at the moment is pretty tedious organisational stuff that is hardly going to have you all clamouring to play it. I HAVE converted it to the MDS map, and it works. I'm currently going through every event file and annotating them, correcting province IDs so that events fire correctly, and generally just trying to tidy things up so that the whole mod will be easier to expand upon in the future.
Anyone who is willing to help flesh out the minister and leaders files (I'm reluctant to accept submissions for events before I'm done organising them properly, I'm afraid) is more than welcome to contribute towards the mod.
