Upcoming Dev Diary?

one they revealed in the Stellaris development diary last week is that whoever did that development diary would shortly be joining HOI IV as head of programmers
Oh, Kids and her impatience. Had hoped that Cornoa brought the Kids to exercise patience again. But with such an enlistment the World only can go down.

Maybe there will be a "surprise" DD tomorrow, Sept 1 instead of waiting for Wednesday.
You know that would make sense for them to potentially announce something tomorrow or Thursday.
Will this be the week our long global nightmare finally ends? I read a prophecy on an ancient Mayan tablet at the beginning of May (May - MAYan - coincidence or aliens?) that said that social cohesion and human health will only return when the next dev diary is released. Pdx, we know you are the cause of the civil breakdown in the US and Covid-19. Please, humanity is begging you to release us from this tortuous limbo by providing a new dev diary.

Something interesting in the recent Stellaris Dev Diary, written 8/27, the author MatRopert says that it will be his last Dev Diary, as next month (September) he is moving teams to become the lead HoI4 programmer. So maybe there's been a shuffling of the HoI4 team which caused or resulted from a lack of productivity, hence no dev diaries.

I think Arheo and Jamor from I:R have mentioned some movement in the teams as well

Also neondt from EU4 is stated that he is changing projects. Perhaps Paradox is shuffling their teams around to prevent them from getting too assist the games that need development help. It is also interesting to note that this is going down while Johan is setting up a new office in Barcelona. I think its possible that EU4 is overall relocating to Barcelona offices, while any EU4 devs that couldn't go to Barcelona are being relocated to potential new projects. Thus, Hoi4 might be getting some new devs and it might be a bit before we get any real meaty DD. Still hoping for something, literally anything, tomorrow from the devs.

Barcelona eh? Lucky Johan. After the I:R debacle, I'm surprised his new office isn't somewhere in the arctic tundra.

I'm not usually one to join this bandwagon, but the silence here is really deafening.
It's been a month since summer break was over and the last DLC was released in February, it's not outlandish to think that they should have something to show by now.

Please! All we want is confirmation that you guys are working.
And we need to add that they said 6 months ago that they had a roadmap working in parallel on two updates (Collie and Barbarossa)... well what is the situation now ?

There's still an outside chance of a dev diary tomorrow or super late today, but it does feel like we're out of luck this week. I'm sad because I really want to hear more about hoi4 (especially since I haven't played eu4 or stellaris in over a year now I think).

That´s the first time from I know that Paradox don´t give an Update DD after Holliday. But it´s Corona-Time and so we all have to be exercise patience.
They have to work from Home (like seen in MW 5 Merc: DLC-Update in an Skype-Intervew) or only 1/3 of the Crew is in the Office like the TV-Host, Radio-Host, offical Hosts etc.
So we can´t expect an Dev Diray so fast. I personaly think the Devs concentrate on the next Patch and small DLC to bring it out this year with the atm last overworks for the Navy and the big overwork for the Airforce for 1.10 "Collie" and the begunn big rework for Patch 1.11 "Barbarossa" for the Army, Supply and much more things with the other Part of the Team.
And if we get an Dev Diray, we will see it soon enough. It´s nice to get surprisses with new Infos. So I and many others with a lot Bereath (Paticance) can wait.
There are other Games you can play or you play Hoi 4 with 1.9.3-Patch, all existing DLC´s and Mods until the next Version comes up.
