I only just noticed this but the numbers of residents found in a building can be extremely unrealistic. I understand that there needs to be some sort of population limit, but it shouldn't be that large residential towers only have slightly more residents occupying them compared to single houses and this seems to be quite a common occurrence.

This is something that can surely be and has to be addressed.

I've attached a picture showing what i mean (look at the number of residents in this tower!)

If I remember right, this is because it simulates every citizen. The processing power required for a realistic number of people in a high density area would be too much for a lot of PCs, so to keep the game accessible to some lower end PCs they abstracted the numbers for higher density buildings more.

Supposedly it can handle a mil, but you can fill the entire map with skyscrapers and you'll be lucky to have 300,000. Theres a mod thats supposed to make it realistic, it didnt work for me.

The length of time is hardly a measure of realism, its only purpose is a measure of income. Its not a realistic game in anyway, Its not a sim.

It does quite a bit right, but it isn't quite on the level of a true simulation. In some regard I would love a true simulator for city building, but I also enjoy the fun that this game brings along with it.

The building in the picture only has 19 households max (currently has 56 residents occupying it) which seems incredibly low relative to the building's apparent size. It's not something you should find for a high density building
