I can't load my saved game now. It gets stuck loading and it never stops. So the only way I can play now is to do an entire game in one sitting. Lag, no reloading saved games, this patch is a mess, and I just give up. 
Unplayable for me now..

Alright so I finally got my game to load but now the lag is even worse than it was when I was playing before. Do we even know what the issue is yet? :wacko:
1) I wouldn't load a 1.7 savegame if I were you. start fresh
2) make sure compressed saves are turned off
3) Are you using the beta patch?
4) verify cache in steam
5) wipe game and resinstall

No I was starting fresh. This is a new game and it wasn't loading. I did get the game to load. I am not using the beta patch.. I will try that.
Well it still lags sadly.. even with the beta patch and my screen is blurry now. I adjusted the screen resolution before I installed the patch, I had forgotten about it. The screen was really blurry so I changed it back, not as blurry as before, but it still is, and also the game is acting like my resolution is too big when it isn't. Not all of the game will fit on my screen and yet I know that my monitor requires the largest screen resolution.
