Okay, so, turns out I had corrected this properly as I first posted, but there was a bug that was fixed with 2.2.0.3. So, as far as I know, this works as intended now. In short, I don't like that Early Eastern Clothing forces you to use the Mediterranean Portraits whether or not you have it enabled. So I "fixed" it.
WHAT THIS DOES: Restores the default western portraits to the Byzantine, Iberian, and Latin culture groups. The Byzantines should still use the Early Eastern hats and clothing. This does not affect Ironman.
REQUIREMENTS: Ownership of dlc047 (Early Eastern Clothing DLC).
INSTALL: Put the modified portraits_mediterranean_early.gfx in \Crusader Kings II\DLC\dlc047.zip\interface and replacing the existing one.
UNINSTALL: Delete the dlc047 folder, and verify files with Steam. The DLC with unmodified content will be redownloaded.
NOTES:
23-10-2014 v1 - Release.
10-11-2014 v2 - Fixed problem where characters would not use the middle or old age portraits after a change to the DLC.
