Turns out I was stopping just short of being able to target the building, and the trees reduced the attack distance, and you could do this the entire time. Either that or it was ninja added into the opt-in beta I'm running.
The objective of Three Years later mission is to clear the area, by destroying turrets and then destroing the corporate HQ, but purportedly it's protected by LRM turrets so you get an objective to destroy the turret generator.
HOWEVER,
it is entirely possible to safely get into a position to destroy the HQ in one turn, defend from the first wave of lrms, and retreat. All without ever visiting the turret generator.
EXCEPT,
you physically cannot target or shoot at the corperate HQ before the turret generator goes down.
Can devs remove this force field Lostech from the building please?
In addition, I mean, if you take down the control tower shouldn't the turrets go offline anyways? There are specifically missions later on that revolve around that.
"Command! I'm in position but my saftey is stuck! I can see the building! It's in my crosshairs!"
"Negative, Behemoth. You must destroy the generator first!"
