to be honest im playing ARMA 1.3, but someone told me that in here they might have some solution for the unlimited transport range for the AI, as it messes up my games as japan and USA.

is there any way to fix it?

Eugenioso, I think the way AoD "fixes" this issue is by making amphibious operations dependent upon the supplies that a naval unit is carrying. A single transport carrying a single unit that sets off with full supplies probably has an effective threat range of something less than its maximum range (2,500 km) simply because supplies will run out and it will have to turn around and head back to port.

I'm not certain of this. I'm certain of the importance of the supplies, but not whether it is this feature that restricts the AI operation. Hopefully someone else can confirm or correct this.

AI transport range is now measured from the nearest friendly port, whether the TP is stationed there or not. JAP CVs cruising the North Sea should no longer happen unless JAP is allied with GER.

here we go again...

everyone wants a quick fix to a combat situation, do you think there was a quick fix in the hedgerows of france on d-day+1?

This game is based of generals making important decisions if your transports run out of supplies doesn't the AI's also?
that's why they have generals & privates not to offend anyone what will you do when the player is a human and not an AI?

surely they are faced with the same issues logistics if, a player wants to build armies with unlimited ammo & supplies then maybe they should play red alert this game tests your brain like never before so deal with it like the real decision makers did
