i think removing the end date of the game is a mod, not a patch. i'm wondering how to do this too.....

ok i found the no timelimit program but its for hoi1 !!!

just put the patch onto the hoi2.exe file and then change the end date/ or begining date in the eug file and then it should work if thats wot u wanted to know

I changed enddate in the scenario eug file as well as savegame file. This has not worked and I do not know why.
Any ideas?
Disregard my last. I found the correct file to patch. It is called HOI2.bbz . Patch that one and you are golden.
Have you verified that the start and end dates have changed? My previous understanding was that it didn't work on the downloaded version. Maybe they just didn't try the right file.Keln said:

It had turned Jan 1 of 1949 when I saved the game and closed it last. After my last post in this thread, I got back in the game and started strategically redeploying my troops to some hotspots around the world. After everything was in order, I started the clock. Troops weren't getting anywhere, nothing was progressing. I looked at the game clock and it was stuck on 0000 of january 1, 1949. It would not advance. I restarted the game and still it would not advance. I closed the game and modified the savegame file to say 02 Jan, 1949 0200. When I started the game up, it started at the date. As soon as I unpaused the game, it reverted back to 01 Jan, 1949 at 0000 and would not advance...
Anyone know of this problem?

Sounds like it just doesn't work on the On Demand version. I haven't seen anyone else say it worked and I believe several have said it didn't. That's why I was hoping it was working for you.
we'll see. I started a new game and gonna see if it works this time. Might have just been because I patched it and manipulated a savegame file. Might need a fresh game to work right like I think EU had to. Maybe HOI1 was like that too, I don't remember.
