It would be great if the the negative impact on relations from saying no when the Emperor demands an unlawful territory back changed by how much imperial authority there was. For members not interested in the Empire, or enemies of the Emperor, this shouldnt sour relations as much as proud members of the Empire.
Another thing, which I don't know is a feature, is if morale would vary based on the War, with single state nations that are face conquest getting more morale than nations dragged in as a belligerent, fighting in a far away land against someone else's foes. Morale should also be boosted when fighting getting obliterated as an army.
