I am guessing Aux Fission and Aux Fusion either adds to ship speed or adds to the Energy production of the ship. As long as your energy output is over the energy drain of your systems then you are good.

In SotS Prime, the Protectorate section projected shields at all ships up to a certain size around the ship with said section. A cruiser protected destroyers, a dreadnought protected cruisers and destroyers. I'm guessing it didn't change much.

Protectorate is a Liir only section that gives shields to ships smaller than the one with the section. It should not be available at start as there is a tech to unlock it.

Reflux Furnace is a module to boost energy and ship speed/manuever, though it does neither at the moment. It should only unlock after a tech which comes AFTER antimatter.

Aux Fission and Fusion are meant to boost energy, but dont do it at the moment. My guess is Aux Fission is meant to be available at start, with Aux Fusion being unlocked from Reinforced Containment, and essentially being an improved version.
