Hello folks! Approximately 1550 I've got some le Clerk who is Lord Admiral but his other role saus that he is a privateer. What does it means? It is not an explorer and not an ordinary commandore. What does it means?

Privateers were a... not quite fully formed idea that managed to get into FTG anyway. The question was what to do with leaders like Drake or Cavendish. Drake in particular could qualify as an admiral, an explorer, and a privateer all at once, but giving England an explorer or admiral of that quality for that length of time leads to imbalance (especially since Drake did most of his work for himself, not for the Crown).
