The white fog that's supposed to block your view of the map for areas that you don't know yet is being created/loading weird after the new patch on my old game.

I was playing as Denmark/Scandinavia and after the patch the white fog is ruining my game, please see the screenshots.

I'm pretty sure I should be able to see my own lands; by know I should be able to see some of the Americas (see Acadia, and Portugal and Spain possessions), east but not west of Africa and no Asia.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
Thanks

Thank you. Doing this:

Navigate to and open "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\settings.txt"
Change "force_pow2_textures=" to yes or no.

Fixed the map, but it messes with the notification flags on the upper left corner.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I imagine you have the 2010 Intel Integrated graphics video driver, right? We've seen a couple of other cases like this with that driver, with both EU4 and CK2 - some recent graphics changes in those games seems to have triggered this fault in the driver. Depending on your exact video chipset that driver may or may not have an update available; post that part of dxdiag.txt if you need help with that.

Yep, that's the one:
Driver Date/Size: 7/20/2010 08:40:34, 6544896 bytes Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics

See if your laptop maker have a newer one for you, if not you'll have to do a manual install from the Intel site.
This is their .exe install, try running it first https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...sion=Windows 7 (64-bit)*&DownloadType=Drivers

If it refuses to install (ie they have restricted you to their drivers, not the generic Intel ones) you’ll need to use the .zip version
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...sion=Windows 7 (64-bit)*&DownloadType=Drivers
and manually install them like this
http://forum.baldursgate.com/discus...ly-update-your-intel-drivers-at-your-own-risk
- Steps 1-10 part way down the page.
