Unknown Graphical Glitches

Took a 1-month break from Crusader Kings 2 GG version, and decided to come back to the game...

Started it up, and this is what resulted...



I'm not sure what caused it, as I have tried reinstalling it with the prerequisites
oddly enough, somewhat similar issues with MotE are also there all of a sudden...

Could anyone explain to me what could have caused this to happen?

That looks like a video driver problem. Weird that it's suddenly happened though.

And what confuses me more, is that only on those 2 games is there problems - all the other ones, including Sengoku still work fine...

That looks like a settings issue, rather - I had those when I fiddled in the settings.

Attempted reinstall of the games earlier - that didn't fix the problem...

alright - I found what I was doing wrong XD
apparantly, draw_hires_terrain=yes <- caused the issues
