often my armys in russia arrive at the same time as my armys in africa, and because the units in africa are very, very slow, my armys in russia are very, very slow asswell, although i gave them the earlist possible arriving-date, and sometimes they don't move for unknown reason. When i attack one provins from different provinses, they normally wait for eachother, but that is ok

Try holding shit while you click movements. That should cause them to begin moving immeditatly. The problem could be your units are all being programed to arrive at the same time because you clicked a button on that box [which sets date/time etc] clikcing shit should solve that.

edit by gzav - he of course means shift... :D

This is because the Attack Box is set to the same date as your last operation in order to facilitate coordinated operations.

Thus, when you send an army to attack 5 months in the future, the next army will attack at the same date unless you specifically tell it to attack earlier.

When you order a unit to attack, it should arrive at the earliest destination, however a lot of times it will arrive at the last programed time. For example, if group A marches to province A in 3 months, when you tell unit B to march to province B, unit B will arrive in 3 months, even though it might only take a few days. You have to cancel unit B's current orders and re-order them while holding shift in order to get it to work properly.

I thought I was the only one who did that! ! ! ! !

Heh heh, no I do that too. Nothing to be ashamed of. :D

I'll make all these elaborate plans and then sit there for three minutes saying, "Come on! Hurry it up already!" before glancing at the top of the screen. "Oh..."

I still do that for bombing runs. Set the inf arrival times and then wait for the pre arrival tac bombing run. "I thought I ordered the bombers in to prep the attack!" Oops! They have the same arrival time as the inf.

One more SNAFU. Situation normal ...

You have to cancel the unit's current orders before issuing new ones in order for there to be any change at all. That part is a bug, but your units should be able to move faster.
