Ship prefixes are easy to fix for yourself using the unitnames.csv. Is there is something much more important to be fixed then it's the problem with the same ship names being used after a historical ship is sunk or destroyed.

Trust me, I am very well aware of this (and I did the revamp of naval forces for AoD), but the issue raised was that, for a number of non-Royal Navy ships, the names given in HoI: Armageddon included inappropriate prefixes for the nation concerned. Where I encountered this issue, I fixed it, but I also gained some sympathy for the original author of the lists, since even revising them was one heck of a big job! The prefix "HMS" is correct usage for British naval vessels, but the prefix "KMS" (for, presumably, "Kriegsmarine Ship") was an invention of 1950s British and American historians, as far as I can tell - and was certainly not correct usage in Germany. Same with "HIJMS" ("His Imperial Japanese Majesty's Ship") in Japan. No offence to foreigners - But HMS "X" is the full name of Her Britannic Majesty's Ship (or His in WW2) without it it would be incorrectly named - I have a motor boat called Dreadnought for example - Thats mine - HMS Dreadnought is the Queens
OOBs are in the contry INC files and can be viewed and edited with a text editor (like Notepad).
Officer ranks are in text.csv in the 'Config' folder, but be aware that whatever you change them to will be used for all nations (when playing in English), not just for the UK/Commonwealth air forces.
Unit names can be edited in the scenario INC files (for starting units) and in the new unit names CSV files in the 'DB' folder.
