How do you unite italy? how do the events work i looked at them but I dont really understand how its supposed to work?

I'm playing as the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies version 1.00 and I took most of mainland Italy can I become Itay? And one other thing the Austrians came down and whooped my ass but luckily I got peace with there alliance when I annexed Tuscany.
Same question here, played Sardinia and never had an event of uniting Italy. Now im playing the Two Sicilys, will there be an event or?
there is an event the two sicilies got it, they get an alliance with france and war vs all italian provinces... i dont know how its supposed to work..
that event seems exciting, do you know which year?
I think france gets it at some time havent checked then it asks an italian country i think... i wonder how it works anyone know?
It doesn't work. there is a bug in the event's deathdate.
You can fix it manually or wait for the next Paradox update, Johan said it might be patched before 1.02 Here.
