Note To Readers:
This game started out as a ck2 multiplayer succession game converted to an HRE only EU4 game where the empire unified at the end. With that unification this Semi-Interactive After Action Report was born, inspired by the server owner Magnum2016's previous server events.

In this IAAR we will be playing in the 19th century in all its alt history in our Holy Roman Empire that spans Europe, but is as fragile as a porcelain plate.

In this game will find out:
If we will be able to help unite this Empire despite its differences and complicated bureaucracy?

Will we be able to save it from its many enemies to the east, west and north and south?

Will some try to Splinter this fragile empire or try to unite it, but fail to the challenges that await us?

This AAR will take place in two forms Discord and the Paradox Forums. Below are detailed descriptions on how each will interact.

Within Discord players will be playing Characters representing politicians, in both the Landsrat (assembly)and Reichstag( diet) legislators, capitalists and Nobles inside of the Holy Roman Empire with its recent reform to become a single state. Players will dictate almost every political matter within the Empire through the usage of bills & propositions. Players will also have the ability to form Political Parties which readers will vote for every 20 years or when the elections are called by the emperor, a vote of no confidence, any other drastic reason the emperor may call them.

The Discord is intended to stay separate from the Forums and as such imperial legislative or any other Discussions of any kind are only authorized within the Discord.

Paradox Forums
To avoid unneeded drama, spam and arguments Imperial discussions will be kept far away from the Paradox Forums and will only be referenced in the posts I will create. However members of the Paradox Forums have perhaps one of the most important jobs in the AAR.

You will participate in elections as currently the landed male elite of the Empire and vote for Political Parties that you believe will lead our Holy Roman Empire to prosperity and as such will have the capabilities to choose which party will gain a majority within the Landsrat and the few seats elected in the Reichstag.

Chapter 1- The Middle Ages
The history of the world progressed normally up to the year 1066 where a convergence from our timeline begins. The story of the von Hapsburgs is known to many in the empire in the year 1836 the first Hapsburg was simply the count of Basel and future saint what remains of their story through the middle ages is logged in the great family chronicle that has its first edition still in the university of Bern. What is known of the middle ages can be found there. With the success of the publication of mass produced editions of the chronicle, telling the rise to glory of the Hapsburgs, most literate members of the empire have read it as of 1836. the cornicle can be found hear.

Chapter 2- A new Era​

Kaiser Ludwig's reign began the transition away from the Middle Ages as he was elected emperor of the HRE at its fullest extent, at the time, but was threatened on all sides by multiple threats. Chief among these threats were the Ataftids calif in Iberia Who threatened the Aragon's part of The Emperor's personal Duel Kingdom of Alras-Argon. The other threats included the anti imperial Brittonic Empire, the lollard heresy that was rampant throughout the empire, the Russian empire and their reformed finno-ugric ways, the Norse empire of Norway to the north, and of course the remnants of the byzantine empire in Anatolia.

These threats compound with the individual nature of all of the many many princes that existed end the arrow cut the 200 years turn the mid-1400s to the early 1600s saw the consolidation of many states within the Empire limiting the number a princes to a manageable number and the additions of more sensible electors. In order to address the right Heathen threats facing the Empire the a made alliances with the Holy order of the Knights of Sardinia with the agreement that they would join the Empire but with special rights in order to carry out their Crusades to re-establish all the holy orders. In addition to this Alliance the emperor also from The Pact with the Pope that would reverberate Through Time just as the First Holy Roman Emperor did. This pact tied the Papal States in the empire together with the Pope seeing the Emperor as the leader of the temporal world and accepting the Pope's ultimate Authority. With this the papacy was also elevated to an electric sheep and with the combined power of the knights in the papacy a crusade was successfully launched on Iberia securing it.

In The North the whole hanseatic league along with the merchant Republic of Gotland and the minor family known as the Limbergs of Poland; dealt a final blow in their northern crusade that would severing Scandinavia for the empire and toppling the Norse Vikings menace once and for all. Their Crusade would stretch on into Russia pushing them back massively until the mid-1600s.

In the British Isles the small Prince of Wessex would quickly with the assistance of the Netherlands and many other members of the Empire would successfully supplant the British empire as king of the new England kingdom of Anglo-Saxons.

After the successful securing of Iberia the The Hapsburgs found that unlike in the Middle Ages they were successfully consistently elected Emperor by the electors allowing them to consolidate power and start to introduce reforms establishing a permanent diet in the free city of Tyrol. in agreement with the nights they assisted with the securing of the Eastern Mediterranean and the return of the Holy Land into the fold of the empire.

The Consolidated power would continue with only one Interruption with Franconia being elected emperor for a short time before Wido IV Restored Habsburg rule in the Empire after the Franconia chaos had passed. In addition to this restoration Wido’s also introduced reforms that made the emperor of the hre always his descendants who were always the Kings of Alras-Argon. In addition to this the succession type was also changed to Absolute primogeniture as of the time of his reform he only had a daughter oh, and did not trust his Austrian cousins to handle the Empire after his death. In addition to this major Reformation, The Emperor invested in major Charter companies to explore the possibility of colonization and exploration in the Atlantic and around Africa. This would create the Habsburg colonies in South America and the African companies that are well-known today.

Theodora under threat from the Russian Empire decided to join the Holy Roman Empire at this time this caused a large amount of friction between the Prussian ruling class of Poland and claims that the Theodora had to the pontic region, These issues were never truly addressed and still cause much friction in today's Empire politics end word wrecked cause of the secession of Theodora from the Empire during the chelation wars. But in Theodora the great reformation and questioning of papal Authority began; the Reformation was in full swing with Martin Luther declaring a new Protestant religion. This became a major issue with most free cities attempting to adopt the religion and with the other heresies that were still in the Empire it led to an internal holy war that would last for much of the next century.

Chapter 3- Hapsburgs Final Victory ​

With the success of power being Consolidated in a consistent emperor The heretic religions inside the Empire were quickly squashed with only a few popping up from here and there. The papacy, having secured much of Italy, came into its own power allowing itself to punish the Heretics that rejected the pope independently, allowing the emperor and the habsburgs to spread their influence to the new world with the Knights.

This massive push in colonization led to a massive increase in the knights power And the a a new threat Rose From the Ashes of the defeated threat in Iberia tho it turns out the Mongol Empire was not truly gone in the deserts of the Sahara the horsemen had remained and they came back with a vengeance re-establishing a golden horde in West Africa I would be a thorn in the side of All European colonizers. Many wars were fought against them with the Grand Bank of Visby reaffirming its economic control of much of the Empire's finances by assisting in the wars against it.

The African coast was secured very quickly leading to the Netherlands Revolt where the elected king of the Netherlands attempted to supplant the Habsburg Emperor as emperor of the empire. The war was rather short-lived but quashed the thinking of many of the other king electors in the Empire from taking arms against the emperor to become the Emperor themselves. Much of this military might was wielded by the Triumph of the Mediterranean, the knights, Emperor, and papacy. This alliance and pact led the emperor to be unchanged by any other member of the emperor, say for members of the triumphrat and the rising Limberg Realms of the conquered russian land.
The greatest discovery of all was done by the knights who discovered the Fountain of Youth securing a supply for themselves, the papacy, and the emperor. The emperor chose not to drink these at the time hoping that one of their descendants will prove worthy of them. The knights would choose to use them during the Coalition wars while the Pope still held onto a massive Supply they secured while the fountain was still open. The fountain closed when much of South America became independent.

Chapter 4- The Aztec Wars​

This newfound power of the empire was quickly challenged by the Aztec empire in North America having recently Concord much of their neighbors Aztec empire having been on par with European technology for most of its existence threatened the colonies of South America. Multiple wars were fought over the Caribbean islands with millions of men dying on both sides despite the power of the knights and the emperor. The Aztecs prevailed more than the triumphant did in these wars. A slight victory was secured in the final war in 1750 we're finally the emperor was able to secure Naval dominance of the Caribbean and the advancing troops of The Aztec empire Were stopped by the Knights after being beaten back all the way to Brazil.

These wars strained the Empires of manpower and led to many lower classes in all Realms of the Empire questioning the aristocracy and its power over them. In Poland where there had been much Strife caused by the Prussian conquerors an idea of Republican governments began and spread very quickly and found fruit in the Knightly orders best. Initially the emperor did not care much for this development for the knights still held a place in the balance of power for a but the revolutionary ideas were too radical and led to the Coalition Wars.

Before those Grate wars began the longest reigning Emperor would begin his reign as he still Reigns to this day. In 1732 Emperor Ludwig the third von Hapsburg ascended the throne Having originally been an orphan found by the previous infertile emperor in a basket in Lake Geneva. get past the trial set by his forebears and drink of the Fountain of Youth giving him a long life allowing him to oversee the coming chaos and wars of the empire.

Chapter 5- The Knightly Wars of the Coalition​

The Revolutionary Knights quickly abandon their Republican ideals and unite around an emperor calling himself Benedictus, who claimed all the fountain of youth water for himself that the knights had stockpiled. They claimed to still believe in the radical liberal ideas they were spreading but seem to have United around the Master General in order to win. Over the course of these many years the emperor in the Empire with the help of the Pope would fight the Revolutionary Knights who controlled much of the Mediterranean and new world. The colonial territories of the knights and the emperor would be swallowed up by Independence sentiment or the Aztecs with a losing Cuba to the Aztecs yet again during the Coalition Wars and the Knights lost all of their colonies to Independence movements that they were unable to stop during the Coalition Wars.

These Coalition Wars happened directly after each other with very short periods of peace the word total of 6 they are detailed below:

1750-1757 war of the first coalition- The knights quickly won a Victory by storming the Venetian ports and nearly occupying Rome; resulting in the conquest of the free city of Corsica and imposing bankrupting reparations on the emperor. This military quick Victory is one of the most humiliating defeats in the Holy Roman Empire in its entire history; therefore, many do not speak openly about the Venation assault of 1751. These reparations would eventually cause revolts all over the empire for constitutional republics, in addition it also began the cycle of religious turmoil with the Protestants again. With them reasserting control of certain Imperial cities. In order to end these revolts the emperor had to spend much of his army To contain all of these revolts therefore weakening his strength even further. The revolts only truly ended when an imperial decree announced the common rights of all Imperial subjects in all princes and kingdoms of the empire. and a declaration of religious tolerance for every member state of the Empire to decide its own religion.

1760-1757 war of the second coalition- The knights won a rather slower Victory this time still decimating much of the Imperial forces in Anatolia and the Balkans by using hit-and-run tactics in the mountains eliminating entire Columns of Imperial troops. With this they conquered Anatolia and encroached into the Vulcans establishing revolutionary Republics as they went. The Imperial forces secured one major victory with the landing of the newly-established Imperial Marines uncertainty of eliminating the entire supply of fountain of youth Water that Emperor Benedictus had making him susceptible to age yet again.

1757-1759 war of the third coalition- Was a much quicker war with the Knights quickly making progress Across The Straits of Gibraltar and conquering the entire Iberian region. This Coalition War only ended with the abrupt death of Emperor Benedictus due to him being shot randomly by a French infantryman in the HRE rifle core.

1760-1761 war of the fourth coalition- Saw the Revolutionary Republic of the Knights choose the daughter of emperor of Benedictus Empress Bendictiae the owl of the battlefield. During this war the Great Battle of The Straits of Gibraltar saw the largest naval engagement in history with the emperor's newly reformed navy having recalled every ship they had across the globe. It was still a close victory for the empress who had decided to use boarding ships almost designed from the ancient era to allow her Elite troops to board the Imperial Navy ships. Even though the Imperial Navy was able to finally destroy the entirety of the Knights fleet the war still ground into a stalemate despite the Limberg Realms finally fully committing to the war in the Balkans.

1765-1775 war of the fifth coalition- This Coalition saw much of the fighting as a stalemate in the Balkans and failed amphibious Landings all over the knights territory in the Mediterranean. Despite these victories the knights were unable to strike Imperial territory like they used to due to the Renewed Energy the princess and other members of the Empire were dedicated troops and funds to the war effort. This war ended with a 3-month armistice before the knights made a final push in the last Coalition War.

1775-1785 war of the sixth coalition- This Armistice was simply a ruse used by empress Bendictiae To secure alliances with two other major powers that disliked the emperor one being Arabia the resurging Muslim power of the Middle East oh, and the other being Bahrat The predominant Indian power that had been challenging the emperor in Indonesia and Australia for Colonial dominance. These allies were formidable and the Knights were able to make steady progress up to the alps and Barcelona on both east and west fronts, but they were stopped by the newly reformed HRE army that had unified all member states into one organized army excluding electors. This newly reformed Army had such numbers and coordination that it was able to slowly beat back the knights to their capital of Sardinia where the empress was forced to surrender. The peace deal to finally end the wars of the coalition called for:
-Empress Bendictiae was to be exiled to the Galapagos Islands
-The Knightly orders were to be split into three different orders in the Mediterranean so that they could never have too much power again
-All Knightly orders where to become direct vessels of the emperor to act as the shield of Christianity and of the emperor.
-The Arabians and Bahratins where to pay for the damages of all the wars
-Morocco was to be awarded land for helping lead the loyal knights to end the siege of Sardinia,
-A new grand master was to be established in Sardinia from morocco

Chapter 6- Postwar Period​

After the war the Empire focused on rebuilding keeping much of the military reforms they had learned from the war. The war has led to a new sense of unity in the Empire with calls for a more unified Holy Roman Empire being very common; not much work was done on them for the emperor had his sights on the Old Colonial Holdings.

The Caribbean reconquest war was rather short of fair with the emperor sending his two Sons to go die assaulting Cuba twice, eventually the Army broke through rescuing the sugar companies main operation Bay and forcing the Aztecs to make peace. In addition to this war the emperor assisted the pope and the Netherlands secure Colonial Holdings in Asia allowing the Empire to have more of an influence in that region.

In Africa the central African Republic Decisively defeated the Dutch forcing them out of much of their colonial Holdings in addition to this the golden horde had recovered from its Wars with the empire and began becoming more of a threat rating the coastal Holdings of the European powers constantly.

In the meantime of the empire being weekend Britannia decided to declare its own Empire seceding from the HRE; they had not contributed many troops to the war and were always distancing themselves from the empire.

7. The Imperial Reform and Consolidation​

With the foreign Frontier secured, the emperor in his later years began the Reformation process which took 10 years of reorganizing and consolidating the Imperial structure directly under himself. He was able to do this thanks to the great Compromise and Constitution of Tyrol where special rights were given to the papacy to act as The adjudicators of the constitution; it also, gave Privileges and compromises to member states by allowing them to enter into a more unified empire with an assembly and the Imperial diet securing his own power as well. The Republican elements of the empire were appeased by the lower house being directly elected by all land holding men in the Empire that could read and write one of the official languages, or an officially recognized languages of the empire.

The official languages of the empire are German and Latin.
Officially recognized languages of the empire are: Czech, Slovak, Spanish, French, Occitan, Dutch, Flemish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic.

The nobility we're given major amounts of power inside of the diet with the Republican governments the had become Imperial states opting to have their sits in the diet elected a true balance between the papacy the Nobles the Republicans oh, and the emperor was reached finally uniting the Holy Roman Empire into an Empire.

Upon its finalization of the Constitution at Tyrol the Emperor was noted to have said: “With this we prove Voltaire was truly incompetent for the Empire is in no doubt holy as the pope handles our disputes, for Rome falls under my dominion so none can dispute that we are Roman, and we are now truly an Empire. Long may it rule and outlive me and outlive all!”

8. The New Constitution’s First Government​

The first government that formed from this constitution what's rather inefficient and only ever did what the emperor said, upsetting many of the member states that had agreed to the compromise. For thirty years he refused to call for new elections because he assumed it would work. Recently he found that banning political parties only led to yes-men filling the chamber. So recently He Lifted the ban on political parties and called for an election of 1836 dismissing the government in hopes he will get active diet and assembly members to help govern the vast empire as well as do a final test to see if this constitution can actually work.

one example of this is the krel-canal being approved but little money being approved for its construction. this made it so the canal would not be completed till the government was dissolved.

The elections where announced and many new party's in hiding or new declared their running.

9. Imperial makeup and Issues as of 1836​

The HRE as of 1836 internally looks like this:
(the kingdom of god, council of knight's holy order, and knights of sardine all have special autonomy and have no seats or direct power in how the empire runs.)

Currently the Empire is facing many threats but manly the thinking that the constitution does not work is very strong as reforms want to edit it to make it more democratic and reactionaries want the emperor to become a true absolute monarch like our Nabors. Whoever may win this think will effect the party's that run in the election.

10. Elections campaign of 1836​

Many political parties came out of the woodwork after being in hiding with the emperor's decision to allow their formation and new ones were formed quickly 10 Front Runner political parties were in the spotlight. They began rallying for seats in the diet through appointments and the few elections some seats for the diet or decided. In addition they all began to campaign heavily for the vote for the assembly that all males 25 years or that own land could vote in.

In order of application for the ballots the political parties where: ​

The knights of the Golden Spur (KGS)-
Are a reactionary party of a loyalist that wished for a reform of the Constitution that would allow the emperor to rule with absolute Authority. They are led by Duke Baldwin Von Bindenburg the 8th Who served as the first Chancellor in the first government; this party won all seats in the previous government just under a Knightly order moniker and not a political party moniker. Some suspect that they will do much worse in the selection and even appointments with the emperor having dismissed their previous government. With that dismissal many in the media and around the entire Empire question if they are out of favor with the emperor. Read more on them hear

Anarcho-Capitalist Union (ACU)-
The Anarcho-Capitalist Union was founded by the capitalist philosophers of the Grand Northern Republic after being exposed to the anarchist philosophies of new age. Now, with the ability to more greatly field their ideas in the Government, the Anarch-Capitalist Union is attempting to increase the economic freedom of every citizen of the Republic by removing the Government from the equation. After all, all forms of regulation inevitably cause deadweight loss. Only an unregulated market is able to be optimized. The party is inevitably at odds with established powers. The burghers of the Union will seek to limit the powers of nobility in order to create more opportunity for all entrepreneurs. Read more on them hear

Germanisch Katholisch-Konservative Partei (GKKP)-
The GKKP has existed as a lobbying and interest group since the 1780s when it was founded by the Dutch King-Elector. It only crystallized into the party it is today on 14 July 1835 before the announcement of elections the following year. Like all other parties, the GKKP maintains its official HQ in the imperial capital, Bern. Despite that, its de facto HQ is in Amsterdam, Netherlands with the High King. The GKKP is expected to have an Empire wide following especially within the Netherlands and Germania. The GKKP, believes in the power of the purse! It believes in the power of the individual! And most importantly, it believes in free will! Even God, in His Most Infinite Wisdom, gave us the ability to choose and govern our lives. He leaves us to do as we please until we need His help and call out to Him. It is with that fact, the law of nature that we use to govern our trade and economic policy. The Government must let the people trade freely not only within the empire, but beyond it too. In adtion the GKKP wants to strike a balance between the two sides of the coin: Nobility and the Commoner. There are those who wish to strike down the power of the Nobility and remove them all and place all power into the hands of the Commoner. To them they say SACRILEGE! Blasphemy even. To be born Noble is to be born into authority. Under our Father’s supervision Nobles are meant to be our temporal and earthly masters. Some of their powers should be strengthened even! And to those Nobles, so rich and pompous on their High Blood and wish to return to absolute rule the GKKP REBUKES you! Just as the commoners serve the nobles we too must serve them to the best of our ability. Did Christ not say that only by serving can we lead? Did He not say to treat our servants with kindness and love? What is kind, loving about oppressing the common people. Remember, Our Master in Heaven has no favorites. Nobles who abuse their positions will be just as equally punished as Commoners who cursed their masters. With that in mind all Commoners who can read and write in German, Catholic and are of age, should be allowed to vote! Be they male or female, fair or dark, rich or poor, landed or not they should vote! God has no favorites. His only division is believers and unbelievers. We too must divide ourselves on such lines good Christians and people who are educated enough to make responsible decisions about the future of the country. Read more on them hear.

The Prince’s National Army is not so much a party as it is a faction of militarists and of those exiled from their homeland in Theodore due to the Revolutionary government that currently reigns there. The PNA’s plan is always stated plainly by its members, it is to destroy the Pretender Republic in Theodore and to reinstate the Prince back on the Goethean Throne and to bring the Principality of Theodore back into the Holy Roman Empire. Front of National Unity (FNU)-
Founded by German and Germanized Minorities liberals, the National Unity Front is guided by liberal and nationalist ideas. Supporters of greater political freedoms, the Front seeks the expansion of citizenship and the creation of equal rights for all citizens. Despite being formed mostly by German Catholics, the Front defends pluralism and full citizenship for members of the entire Empire, regardless of religion. In the economy, the Front supports a system composed of private investors and state investments to support national economic interests. In addition to the official political arm, the National Unity Front is supported by the newspaper "Patriotic Citizen".

Green and Black Movement (GBM)-
Born from the ideals of the Young Hegelianism movement of the 1820’s, formed of academics, the Green and Black Movement is filled with many who wish for a more Free, United Europe. They follow the backdraft of Enlightenment ideals, and look to the Peasants revolt of the centuries as the Righteous people who fought for rights. Between the more radical Jakobiners, and the more moderate Konstitutionelle, they stand for the lessening of the Powers of the Nobility and providing it to the People. Read more on them Hear.

To that end, it believes in the total mobilization of national resources toward that cause, including waging war. Junker Partei (JP)-
The Junker Party (JP) is the representative party of not only Limpurg interests but of the lesser nobility as a whole. In the century since the last crusade against the Russian bear, house Limpurg has become intimately aware of the realities of the revolution and what that means for the nobles. The nobility now face immense pressure from two opposing sides, the growing centralization of the Empire as per the Emperor’s reforms and the erosion of noble privilege as a consequence of social reformists. The JP stands against both of these agents of change, attempting to hold onto the glorious past of the monarchy. To this end, the JP has united the Junkers (landless nobility), the Dukes and even supported the rise of a broad class of monarchists amongst the general populace. That being said, the voting base of the movement is still largely confined to the monarchies of Germany and the greater East while the liberal North and imperial West are non-receptive to the movement. The party emblem is meant to signify the lesser royalty of the empire. After a scuffle with the local lords of the Bremen Charter and Göttingen due to their meddling in the affairs of the cities and thus disrespecting the rights of the citizens and the democratic ideals of the Free Cities. The local lords wouldn’t budge and thus Jacob Arndt, his brother and other liberal intellectuals went to protest against the lords. These men were known as the Göttinger Sieben. Due to their actions, Jacob’s brother and another member were expelled. After these actions taken by the Imperial Government, they formed their own liberal oriented party to push through reforms. If they did not act, no one would act. This party works for the greater good of the people, for the education of all. Every man must be able to attend school and every man must be able to participate in politics and live out his culture and religion as he wants. read more on them hear.

The campaigns​

In preparation for the campaign The conservatives parties focused much of their efforts on trying to convince the emperor to put pressure on Nobles to appoint conservative members of the diet, as well as put presser on their neighbors themselves as nobles. While all this politicking was going on speeches were given by many different parties some of which are highlighted below:

Joseph Hormayr of the Green and Black gave speech in the streets of many city's:

"Citizens of the empire I stand before you with a promise. A promise of a better tomorrow under black and green leadership. A tomorrow with an improved constitution that accurately represents the people of this empire! A tomorrow that the leadership of this empire will stand for the rights and improve the lives of all citizens within our empire! A tomorrow that will increase the rights of all citizens and those who travel to live in our borders! A tomorrow where your children will be properly educated and not sent to work at young ages! A tomorrow that will bring libraries and schools free from the church! We are generous so the funding shall continue for religious schools and we hope his holiness will accept our offer. This tomorrow will only be able to be accomplished with a mandate given to us by voting black and green and turning away from the conservatives who will continue the failings of the first government! The tomorrow brought on by voting for conservative parties will be a tomorrow of grief, with the failings worsened and your rights stripped away! This tomorrow the conservatives would bring will continue the ineffectiveness and downturn of the first government! So I ask every citizen to stop the conservative tomorrow and bring forth the glorious black and green tomorrow with your votes! Back the black, Fight for our rights and vote black and green!"

Professor Jacob Arndt would also go on to give speech in his home city that would eventually be one of the most importin of the election:

"People throughout the Empire are completely unable to read their native or other languages due to a severe lack of schooling for the middle or lower class. This hampers not only industrialization but also the unity within the Empire. If a man cannot read or understand instructions, books, etc. given to him by the factory owners or by others within the Empire, then what good is it that we have such a vast domain? But this does not only apply to the lower classes, but also to the upper classes. Business is severely hindered if it is conducted widely within the Empire. Business Partners simply cannot understand a word the other says and even with cities popping up throughout the vast Empire, the Lords have done nothing to help the people of the Empire. Not once have they mentioned the deterioration of Education in any of their speeches, letters, papers or whatever else. They do not wish to acknowledge that this is a severe problem, most likely because they've never thought of it as such. They are ignorant to the fact that education is power for the people and the Empire or maybe they are scared of what the people could accomplish if they were something other than buffoons who can't read or write. An education program must be launched to counteract this severe rotting of the very structures that we entrust our children to and the first step is to make schooling less elitist. Public Schooling, i.e. schooling paid for by the Empire using tax money, is needed to assure that even the lower classes will be able to read and write. This does mean that the lords will be forced to use parts of their acquired money to pay for such schools. While we hope that the lords are not greedy and prefer strengthening the Empire above strengthening themselves, history has often shown that this is not the case. Furthermore, widely available education will help bolster the armed forces. If every man can read and write, they will be able to understand strategy and orders, which means that the commander dying does not result in immediate chaos. Another can simply pick up the orders, read them and hopefully fulfill them. Education for the people has no downsides except for the nobles having to spend money, which they gain from us anyway, to pay for it."

11. Elections of 1836
(brought to you by The Geneva times)​

The results are in and we have some very surprising news announces a newspaper being published in Geneva the week after elections.
First unto the biggest upsets happened in the assembly with the liberal parties having done outstandingly well with the landed Motors the merchant class came out in droves for the selection more so than the last one. This means that liberal policies are probably on the horizon. in addition to this the free city council has a majority for the first time ever in the name of GS This rather minor party did outstandingly well in the elections in three cities themselves mainly due to the assassination attempt by radical night sympathizers of their leader Professor Jacob Arndt Who is now resigned to a wheelchair because of the attack. the emperor himself paid him a visit before the election and that most likely did triple his games in the free cities Council as well as the assembly. Whether the emperor intends to do this or not is unknown although he has been calling a large number of nobles to court the past few days before the elections. Perhaps this is related.

The next that could argue to have a claim to the Imperial Throne would be Ludwig Von Hapsburg steward of argon(65). A Great grandson of the current emperor Direct descendant of the first born daughter of the emperor. Initially in life he wished to become a priest but due to reasons to have not been fully revealed by the Imperial family or the Church itself he was kicked out of the Benedictine order of France and returned to being a Layman At the age of 40. On this rejection he found work thanks to his family connections serving as a shipping inspector in Aragon. He quickly found he was very quick and effective with math and accounts spending the next 15 years rising in ranks in the Imperial Court. This would Propel him to become the steward for the emperor himself in the last 10 years. His dealings with the church in the past are the cause of much of the debate on the succession if it wasn't for the question of his character it would be very clear that he is the direct descendant and next in line to the throne according to the law of the kingdom and the empire. Some question Wido the IV’s reforms And argue since he's not descended from a male branch of the current emperor he shouldn't be considered despite the reforms that happened two hundred years ago. A major proponent of meritocracy and industrialization inside of the empire and a proponent of more Crusades to the east and many of his dinner parties he discusses the possibility of another Russian Crusade helping unite the Empire more and put its governance to the test.

Fight this she's created many reforms for the islands allowing much more democracy to rain on them even allowing for the islands themselves to elect their representative to the diet, the only area in the emperor's own kingdom that does that. She is a liberal reformer that believes in high ethics, rulership as a noble and empowerment to the common people. A balance between the liberals, conservatives and reactionaries is her philosophy. The biggest, legitimate, criticism she does have is that she is not very Pro industrialization or business and prefers agrarian and trade over manufacturing Industries.

An odd fourth Contender is Wedo Von Habsburg count of province, Who's relation to the emperor dates back to the 1300s due to him being from the Austrian branch, his own grandfather was the Archduke of Austria until he was removed from being out politically maneuvered by the Zavarova dynasty at the age of 21. The stranger and final option and surprisingly most legally sound options is Princess Beatrix Von Hapsburg Although currently as of the year 1836 she is only 7 years old she is a human being closest to the ancient Holy Roman Emperor Ludwig the Third. In fact it is whispered in the capital that if one wants to get close to the emperor they must first get close to the princess. Although she is simply the emperor's cousin Thrice removed She is the closest descendant biologically related to Wido the 4th; in fact, if one removed the current emperors descendants from succession because of him being adopted then they would find that the princess According to Wido IV's reforms and the laws of the land the legitimate Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Just known as a rather brooding girl that loves fantasy novels and Adventures, in fact the emperor has doted on her so much that she is now the super majority shareholder of the Pacific Charter company as a mere 7 year old. Who knows what she will truly be like but her claim is strong and the emperor loves her like a daughter more so than any of his other family members.

12. Legislative session of 1836

With elections concluded the government was rather surprisingly quickly formed with the green and black movement making common cause with the GKKP and PNA. With this support and Alliance of a liberal party and two conservative parties one more moderate than the other a suggestion was sent to the Emperor of who should become Chancellor. That being Elector King of the Netherlands Martien Oranje Nassau The leader of the GKKP. It is rumored to secure this that promises were made about reforms particularly child labor Which during the election became a major issue because of the Pope's condemnation of the practice. Much of the success can be attributed to the machinations of The Duchess of Flanders, Her Ladyship Andrea Jannetje Francien Karnegie van Oranje Nassau. Who Is credited by many newspapers including the one she owns as being the chief negotiator for the creation of the ruling coalition. Although it is a shame in this reporter's humble opinion that she could not become Chancellor due to the rulings of the Constitution restricting that to men in the diet. Whether my thoughts be true or not she and the now Chancellor of the Empire are power Brokers in this current political system. Let us see if they last the decade.

Sadly due to inaction from the assembly on one hand and rejection by The Nobles in the diet on the other, only five laws were passed. One of those being The Imperial Budget of 1836 proposed by DM, that was approved by the GS controlled free city council. It called for:

The sad epidemic of parents sending their beloved children to work in mines, logging camps, farms and factories is due to the hard state of the economy and purchasing power. As the times change so too must society. For too long the right to gather and meet, to vote in peace, to form unions has only been the domain of nobility and the rich. Now this privilege, this freedom, this right must be extended to the the layman too. He too is as capable and worthy of such a right

The criminal charges act by the GS
As we all know, people are regularly executed and send into what we Germans would call "Zuchthäuser" to sit out their time for even minor crimes, which is drastically decreasing our potential workforce. While I do not agree with penal colonies, I much less agree with simply executing people or putting them in horrible high-security prisons for minor crimes, which is why I propose that those convicted of minor crimes are simply send off to work or into the colonies, where they can potentially start a new live or, in the case of being brought into the workforce, can make a living for themselves and maybe see the wrongdoings of their ways. We are not talking about murderers here, we are talking about those who have committed petty theft and other minor offences. These people are still people of the Empire and while they have committed a crime, they should still be allowed to live on grounds of the Empire and build themselves up again so they may enjoy a normal life once more. This should also not resemble some sort of Forced Labor but rather an option. You can either spend your time in jail or go work for a slightly lower wage for a set amount of time, depending on the crime committed, after which you will be treated as a normal Worker again.

Education reform Act by the GS
Currently, schools can only truly be found in larger cities, at least well equipped ones. As a Professor myself, I would like to propose solutions to fix the current issue of the schooling system. First of all, no matter how much many we will pump into the expansion or betterment of schools, they will never truly be efficient. What we need is a rudimentary standard for all schools to follow, first and foremost. This means that no matter where you are, you will learn similar things. While some schools and teachers may choose to deviate from the norm, they will not be allowed to stray too far. The exact details of these rudimentary standards should not be discussed in the diet, as most are wholly unqualified to speak on this matter and it is of utmost importance that only those with expertise get to decide on such an issue, of course with the input of the Monarch and the people in their areas. What I propose is that groups of teachers in their respective areas come together and gather what they find is important. This will then be reviewed by Experts in the field and the Monarch himself. With this, we have a large sample size of what teachers and the people find important in education. Furthermore, this allows us to find overlapping interests. By doing so, a rudimentary curriculum can be established, which is required to be quite flexible, as different regions or teachers may want to switch things around or focus on some things more than others. Furthermore, awareness of the importance of teachers has to be raised so more people are ready to become one. This will also work greatly if we increase the wage and benefits of teachers, although not too much and at a later date when the economy is on the upturn. Afterwards, we will also need to increase the education of teachers and make standards for teachers state-wide as well, so teachers are at a similar level no matter where you go so everyone can be well educated.

These Laws while not delivering on every promise the ruling government made made great strides in reforming aspects of the Empire although the implementation of them would be slow knowing government bureaucracy and knowing the will of local Imperial States it was still a step in a left word and New Direction.
Although the failure of beauty Imperial research act to pass as well as the re-establishment of the grain Dole Act greatly worried the emperor for the longevity of the economy and advancement of the Empire; knowing this Emperor Ludwig the Third issued his 42nd improve decree of his reign which read as follows:

By Order of his imperial Majesty- Ludwig the 3rd Von-Hapsburg, King of Arles and of Argon, Count of Bern, and Defender of the Faith.

Due to the necessity of this law's creation, issue this my 42nd Imperial decree of my reign over the realms granted to me by God in the year of Our Lord 1836. This decree is to be named for future Generations as the: “Imperial decree for prosperous Progress”
This decree shall add two provisions-
1. The Imperial Research Act of 1836 shall be put into effect under my authority as sovereign of the HRE as it was written and proposed in the diet.
2. As this progress is the nation on an intellectual scale the common people must also have progress just as serfdom and slavery were ended under mine and my fathers reign the well-being of the individuals shall also come first. Out of the coffers of the Imperial Nation itself will come the retirement fund for the unemployed and infirm so that they may not suffer in God's view nor in the view of their common citizens. As such this money will be distributed by the state and my agents. (Trinket Pensions)

Imperial Research Act of 1836
(Proposed by the lower house of the Assembly)
Currently, the Empire is behind in lacking in many areas of vital industrial and philosophical technology. One notable example of this is the Empire's lack of machine parts. Despite the Empire's military being the strongest military in the world, with powerful allies alongside it, if we are to become a modern industrial titan some things we will have to catch up on.
This act is an attempt to set an example for future acts of bold research for the Empire, giving it the boost it requires to go into the next age.

I. The Holy Roman Empire will see the establishment of the Ministry of Civilian Research and the Ministry of Martial Research.
ia. The roles of both these ministries is to publish documents and laws to be approved through the due legal process of voting within the legislative branch and being approved by the Emperor, and facilitating the gathering of intellectual persons and research in order to make the required advancements that the Empire requires. The Ministries will be the main entity publishing laws to be approved by the legislative branch for their respective fields, however other Scholars or Clergy members of the two houses can still propose laws.
iia. The Minister of Civilian Research will be nominations from from either of the houses by the Reichschancellor. Both houses must then approve the nomination by a 50% + 1 majority. The Minister of Civilian Research need not be a man, however they must be a member of the Roman Catholic Church. However, due to the unique nature of research, the Minister may be of some other Christian faith if approved by a 2/3rds majority. If the Reichschancellor wishes to choose a nominee that is outside of the legislative branch, they must be of at least 25 years of age and will need to be approved with a 2/3rds majority as well.
iib. The Minister of Martial Research will be nominated by the Imperial Consul, and then must be approved by the Emperor and the Reichschancellor. The Minister of Martial Research need not be a man, however they must be a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Due to the due to the unique nature of research, the Minister may be of some other Christian faith if approved by the Emperor.
iic. These Ministers must still be confirmed by the Emperor, and the Emperor still holds right to dismiss them for any reason.
II. While the Ministry is being established, the Empire will follow this temporary route of research to begin working towards advancing technologically.
- Interchangeable Parts will be the first and foremost priority of Imperial Research.
- Philosophically, idealism should be an avenue to explore, as it may lead to inventions we may have never considered.
- Railways should also begin to be something we take interest in, the Empire should dedicate effort towards establishing Experimental Railroads sponsored by the
state.

The Imperial decree was signed off quickly by the chancellor who did not even question the emperor I respected for his long years in ruling. with that the legislative session was complete and governing would begin.

13. A World on Edge
(1836 -1841)

In 1836 the world is still in the balancing act it had been for the last 50 years no large wars or changes in influence just staring and waiting for someone to make the first move between the grate powers. In this time the here found itself with its diverse population and threats on all sides and inside, but it had legislation and a plan and an emperor much experienced these are the first steps of the modern age.

As although the factories paid better the grain shortage increased the price way too much therefore creating the starving conditions. With the creation of three new Minister positions due to the laws passed in the previous legislative. The emperor has quickly pushed for appointments of individuals. There was a slight tracking of the Chancellor's feet to get people in these positions but with the letter being written to the emperor himself he felt that he had no choice but to push the matter and get the three positions filled. This announcement has been nailed to every entrance and exit of every bar in the Empire as well as any other Billboards or information signs. It has quickly been reported in every major newspaper that three ministers in one act is a show of Imperial power that does not go unnoticed. The three new positions that he did appoint were The Minister of Civilian research, the Minister of Martial Research, And the minister of Education.

The emperor appointed father Arbenit Nesimi to act as the Minister of Civilian Research. A Prominent member of the JKKP in the assembly The Chancellor's own party which only made too much sense considering he authored the act that created this position and the chancellor would benefit from The Prestige of Having one of his own party members appointed.

The emperor appointed Professor Jacob Arndt to act as the Minister of Education The recently-opened coming liberal politician who was attacked before the last election and is now paralyzed from the waist down. a very wise and intelligent person who the emperor is rumored to have asked for advice and raising his favorite cousin the young princess Beatrix. The first law of its kind to ever recommend delete control of the entire Imperial Army some questioned its constitutionality but it calls for the separation of forces and division of them. Much like what the emperor and console were already doing, but with more restrictions on what the console and Emperor can do with the Armed Forces. This law might backfire on the DM who seems to be the most active legislative body but we will see.

The internal tariff abolishment act of 1841:
This law proposed by the liberal section of the current coalition government eliminates the tariffs that Imperial states can impose on each other's Goods making travel and trade between Imperial States the easiest solution instead of foreign trade. Imperial Voting Expansions Reform of 1841:
The GKKP’s magnum opus The promise they made to the land holding folders they courted and their fellow Coalition member at the green and black Alliance has been fulfilled with much fighting over the this laws passing due to the addition of an amendment that would have make the law even more liberal allowing for non-Catholics to vote. Non-Catholics can vote now only if they're landholding but this law makes it so all non landholding men who would count as the middle tax bracket may vote in elections.

Almost passed:

Literacy enhancement act
This law passed by the assembly but struck down by the diet for being too left-leaning would have empowered the minister of Education to attempt to bring more public education to Imperial subjects so that everyone could read. This law seems to be attacked by the right to be very upset by the passing of the voting expansion. I was more of just a slighted 4 billion effect. The law wasn't even that radical.

Amendment to the Wido reforms:
was a constitutional amendment that would have expanded the reforms of gender equality to eliminate the current Chancellor and Minister positions requiring members to be male. This amendment almost passed the diet with only 26 votes remaining to pass it and had a supermajority in the assembly which is as of late very liberal-leaning.

THE EUROPA LINES ACT:
This law passed the assembly and was a railroad funding law that would have made the state create a majority of railroads; it was struck down by the DM whose leader had the most to gain by building their own railroads. This law ends the fight over what seems to be the now politically defining rivalry between the GKKP kingmaker Duchess of Flanders and the DM leader archduchess of Austria. This political fight seems to be both corporate and business-related as well as political.

Failed to pass:

Army Reorganization Build Authority Act
This law proposed by the Knights of the Golden Spur what's an attempt to empower the emperor to spend as much money from Imperial coffers as possible when laid to military matters because it would be a direct flight on the emperor to vote down this motion the majority of parties simply abstained from it right to the Golden Spur have been out on the streets complaining about this for days calling all other parties that abstained on this matter unpatriotic and traitors to the emperor. it is probably not true that the rights of the Golden Spur are probably less likely to be friendly to any party that voted against this law in the near future.

Literary Protection Act of 1841
This law was proposed by the prince of Berlin who recently entered into the diet after inheriting his princedom. that saw both the conservatives and liberals attack it as cruel and vile. Although it was voted down heavily in both houses the name of this young prince who challenges the system itself as well as both the conservatives and liberals has caught the eye of much more hardline monarchists. As we mentioned before in this article he is someone to watch.

Imperial Voting Reform Amendment:
This amendment would have as mentioned previously eliminated the Catholic requirement for unlanded middle class voters that was a step too far for the conservatives who proposed the original Law. This reporter suspects this will not be the end of this subject though and it will be brought up again next legislative session.

With the passage of The Imperial military Reform Act of 1841All of the current armed forces of the military were called to Berlin for V organization and assignments the Navy itself was called to the port of Marseille. This massive mustering of tens of thousands of men put a major strain on the city itself and the supply networks of the empire, but over the course of many years the Imperial military was able to be reformed.
Many Colonial troops that were transported to this mustering made their case to many local colonials and natives are equally loyal to the Empire as anyone in Europe pushing for the dispersal of companies and the director of the Empire most of these reports will be ignored though.

Buster was a great success with many new infantry regiments being raised all throughout the empire 7 established circles of the army two of which the Romantic Circle and dramatic Circle are now fully supplied with 10 armies each. With the Slavic Circle Having 4 full armies deployed and sections with 6 more being raced in the eastern part of the empire. The Empire expects this racing to be done within the next year. The reason for the Eastern section being so filled quickly with recruits is rumored to be many Russians and Greeks and tartars signing up. The newspaper could not confirm this rumor. The Navy's Reformation was also a massive success with the transports being assigned to the Imperial circles and five police being created respectively: the Fleet of the North, the fleet of the Caribbean, the South American Fleet, the Mediterranean Fleet, and the Asian fleet.

The preparations for such an expedition took time to set up, numbering about 3 years before the order was ready to set sail. Banners were raised, and new knights recruited and equipped before they set sail.
While securing a landsite was simple against the unprepared Venezuelan army. But as the army set out into the jungle, more and more were harried and attacked. Hundreds died in the first week of battle, soon the jungles burned and smelled acrid as the cannon and gun fire filled the air with smoke, black powder and burning vegetation. But the knights made progress, after weeks of heavy fighting
With everything secure, the knightly order handed over all resources they collected to the benefactor, and turned over the maintenance of the roadways deep into the amazon to the empire as well, their forces needed replenishing, and a lot of soldiers would be needed for that.
But the war had been won, the knightly order now had a firm hold over the others, it’s only a matter of time before they would begin to use this influence once more.

She grasps it all. There is no 'correct' answer to such a question but she shows wisdom beyond her age in answering them.

I have also had her study and shadow my financial decisions as well as the stock market's behavior to try and see what could be done better, what is doing well, why it's doing well and so on. She has a good head for the numbers, though she's clearly disinterested in it.

As for the current political situation, she understands it quite easily but puts nothing but the barest minimum into it! I do not fault her for it- she's going to be a praiseworthy ruler but I don't believe one is remembered for her stunning political acumen so much as one remembered for her adventurous spirit.

It is fine though, she's rather well-behaved, does her work on time and understands the issues at hand rather well.

Hello my brother, I hope you have been doing well and have not worried too much despite my lack of letters but I assure you that there is a good reason.

The heiress has become nothing short of a prodigy in languages, sciences and general education. Humboldt, Karl, Möbius and I are completely stunted by her intellect. It seems like the royal bloodline truly is blessed by god! At her young age she is already fluent in almost all languages within the Empire and is even able to speak the languages outside of it. She is also a genius mathematician and is able to keep up with Möbius himself! Even Humboldt is completely stunned by her abilities. He has told her many things already and she has even begun to use her newly acquired knowledge to ask very deep and intriguing questions that even students at the University in Bern wouldn't ask.

I'm beyond astonished by what god has granted this Empire. She is the gem that will bring a Golden Age to this Empire once again, I assure you! While she still has things to learn from us, I am quite sure that we will soon become completely obsolete! She even manages to surpass Humboldt in his constant bickering and life-lesson-talk.

I am not joking when I say this, but the Heiress will soon surpass Karl, Möbius, Humboldt and Me. She is a true genius.

This movement does not seem restricted to one region in the colonies but widespread among our colonial possessions from the patagonian mountains to islands in the pacific comes a chorus of cries in many tongues and of many different peoples but with one, single unifying message of full integration for their states. The most prominent is both islands of New Zealand located in the south pacific not far from the Dutch east indies and a popular place for immigrants from the empire. Next to it is Australia with its states also seeking full integration. There are many issues with them joining fully however with them not being european and the long distances needed to be traveled by representatives of their states. Another major issue with some is the complete opposition of expanding the diet or assembly with some viewing it as too large and bureaucratic in its current situation. Of interest in this edition, is the Colony of Malacca, named after the straits it borders. Malacca is a particularly wealthy colony, gold mines and virgin forests rich in all sorts of exotic woods span the colony. It’s one of the Empire’s greatest sources of prestige and a personal holding of the Emperor, long may he live. In addition it controls the Malacca straits, the shortest path from the Bharityan Ocean to the Pacific and thus the riches of the Orient. Thus is it any wonder it’s so contested?
However, until recently, such contestations have always been in the realms of the conference rooms, letters and rhetoric. Neither the Bharityans nor the Heathen Moslems have dared to contest our righteous rule of the region.
That changed in AD 1844 when troops on a routine patrol of the thick forests of the region, happened across an Arabian Survey Party. The great Civil War in China seems to have no end in sight even after three more years of conflict. The original Nation now reforming itself into a A partial constitutional republic seems to be losing overall too much smaller States. A new rise in all the moves in China seems to be continuing the effort for a republican-controlled nation. This nationalist China I was taking a large amount of land very quickly although not as strong as some of the other smaller Warlords in the area. The newspaper has been unable to go into much more depth with China due to it being difficult to get sources in and out of the area. Suffice to say the war seems to be dragging you on and for True stability to rain in the trade region itself we wonder if the great Powers might intervene soon and wonder if the emperor is considering this action perhaps his advisors will see fit if they read this article to advise him caution but activeness.

The HRE, as is natural considering its vast wealth, often lends money to nations in need of it in exchange of favors, resources and repayment at a later date. It’s a system we’ve had for decades and lent to all sorts of nations far and wide. However, this year, a crisis struck when three nations declared bankruptcy near-simultaneously preventing us from gaining back our investments. The three are Jomsviking, Nationalist China and the Kingdom of Brittany. A remnant of a by-gone era, radical rebels and a traitor. God delivers his vengeance in strange ways. The foreign ministry can only focus their efforts on one of these, China may be too far for us to influence and the Jomsvikings rule a worthless land but Brittany is backed by the Anglo-Saxons. It’s a dilemma but we have faith that the office will recover the funds and perhaps, show a bit more restraint in doling out loans.

Leaving this newspaper to wonder if it is only a matter of time before our foreign minister who claims the rightful dominion over these lands finally takes his rightful throne in the city of his name. Venezuelan Intervention

With the success of previous Expeditions into the nation the foreign minister Theodrick Decided to double down on his plan to circumvent the Aztecs Has redoubled diplomatic efforts to incorporate Venezuela into the sphere of influence of our nation. These efforts were successful although Rebels rose up against HRE influence quickly crushing the Venezuelan forces. With this drastically being a challenge to the Holy Roman Empire's influence in the region the Emperor and console have decided to send one recently reformed army on ships to directly intervene in the rebellion.

The 7th army commanded by Marc Von Steiger quickly defeated the rebels and systematically eliminated resistance to our dance. The nation of Venezuela has thanked us for our efforts and the 7th army now has a headquarters in the nation.

Officially being transferred the 7th army and its commander are to be the first Army in The North Atlantic Circle. With the amazing success of this intervention hopefully further interventions in two economies that allow us to prosper shall follow hopefully the emperor lines from this and continues the good work long may he reign long may the Empire rule!

The three orders of the knights, Sardinia, the Council and the Holy order, all shattered after the Coalitionary wars. A struggle for power soon followed, with an uneasy balance held between each order. But no longer, the Tides of the Mediterranean have once more shifted into a unified knightly order, a force able to rival any on a global scale once more.
While none saw this coming, especially so soon after the coalitionary wars not even a century ago, the Militant Order of Sardinia had overthrown the council of Knights, proclaiming the revived Kingdom of the Knights of the Mediterranean. A title not used since the rise of the Bonaparte's, the Knights of the Mediterranean now stand with a unified army, navy, and economy. While the unification process continues, the Knights seek to be crowned king of the Mediterranean once more, many names are suggested, but one stands out. Anne I of House Bonaparte-Epstine.
This shocked many in the order, but it would make the most sense, while others are able to put pretenders forward to be voted upon, the house of Bonaparte-Epstine are the unified houses of many of the order's former High Knights, Kings and Grand Masters. Their claim is strong, and others will have to vie for it. Anne I is the daughter of the last Bonaparte leader of the nation.

It seems that by the end of this year that the Russian Anglo Alliance is falling apart with both parties attempting to secure their interest in India in the form of competition. With the snooze Queen Victoria who was recently crowned Empress of the British and queen of England Has married Prince Alfred of the gotha a Claimant to the principality of Berlin. With this marriage and the success of their War the British seem to have expanded their efforts in Naval production creating a Navy that could even rival ours in a few years. This development and power that the British now are able to bring to bear should not be underestimated or forgotten about by our ruling class. So, I ask them to listen to these threats and take them seriously otherwise our Navy's may end up at the bottom of the sea while Britannia rules the waves.

New laws and failed bills

In the rapid political landscape of today 18 bills were proposed in both houses with 8 passed in both houses, with 2 passing the assembly and failing the diet and 8 failing both houses. The most important passed bill was the reinstatement of the levy act which would allow nobles to raise their own levies. Sources within the imperial palace say the emperor is highly against this bill and some say he shall veto it. Another important passed bill is the Theodoran Declaration which sets out that all lands of former Theodaran lands belong to the holy roman empire and will take any means necessary to integrate these lands. Another is the imperial reclamation act which states that Brittany will be subject to an offensive and then a re-integration into the empire. The Bonaparte provisions rule that all Bonapartes will now be transferred to imprisonment on the island of Elba and numerous measures to contain the knightly orders. Finally, the workers' appreciation act sets out a minimum wage and maximum working hours, a relief for those working all hours of the day for little to no pay. The two passed bills in the assembly which failed the diet were both amendments, The amendment to the nobility laws, and the amendment to the Wido reform. The amendment to the nobility laws would have forced nobles to renounce all foreign titles to claim an imperial title and renounce all imperial titles to claim foreign titles. The amendment to the Wido reform would have created 28 new seats in the diet. In states where there were only appointed seats, it would have added one elected seat. This would have affected 28 states. The most prominent rejected bills are the act of imperial censor, the act of approved information and the Industrial Development Support Act of 1846. The act of imperial censor would give the emperor the power to approve or disapprove of any political party before an election. The act of approved information would’ve created a ministry of censorship to decide what newspapers may be printed. Finally, the industrial development support act would have subsidized failing

Their leader the infamous Reactionary duke Baldwin the 8th Von Bendenburg has gone senile from age and from what some tabloids hint at syphilis being the case. Whatever the case the party being utterly loyal to the duke find them self’s unable to oppose his crazy laws. This may spell the end of the one truly Reactionary party unless action is takin soon.

The Holfberg corporation has had a massive build up in the last few years making it the richest company in the nation. The expansion of a railway holding the entire western section of the empire is one of the largest endeavors we have ever seen in the recent industrial developments so our nation. Making it now the most valued company in the nation with a caveat being that the archduchess of Austria has no interest in selling any of her majority stocks in the company with the imperial bank spuriously being the only other stockholder of the company; therefore, this newspaper recommends sharers in the bank as an indirect way to benefit from this company’s success. Although this paper would be remiss if it did not mention that the control the company is exserting on the nation has many economists and nobles concerned that the company will take over all industries.

This year while the legislatures where busy screaming at each other over amendments stopped by the free city council. The electors of our fair empire had a meeting for the first time in a hundred years to do the same. The discussion was over the succession offer our Venerable emperor Ludwig the 3rd joins God. What was said is apparently a major secret and has been kept hush by the emperor’s order, but the gazette is here for you for we always have rumors. It seems the Limberg imperial states and other fought over the selection of an heir due to the being much controversy over who actually had the right to succession due to the advanced age of the emperor. rumors say that many deals were struck to put Princess Beatrix as the 1st in line to the throne, with count Wedo in second, and the old countess Hapsburg as the final one in line. Interestingly it seems Ludwig and the duchess of Beleric where to contentious to be listed din the line of succession; whatever the case may be, it seems one day the young 17-year-old Beatrix will be empress of our holy roman empire.
