MAGYFEST DESTINY - Oh, Wave The Flag of The Brave!
Sisiniuss' men got destroyed by mighty Magyar military. Pope himself hid in Rome licking wounds. The so called Crusade did not stop the unstoppable, Magyars expanded around the Black Sea. After Greece Anatolia was democratically invaded. Bulgarian regime got overthrown and oppressed small nations of Serbs, Croats and more were liberated in the name of democracy.
Arpad Arpad Senior did not live to see his dream come true. It was his grandson Arpad Arpad Junior who took the leadership of nation. Under his flag the brave and the free turned the Black Sea into inner Lake of Liberty.
Nation was no more in danger and democracy was restored. It was democracy in its primitive form commonly known as "Elective Gavelkind". Under influence of local Greek population the national ideology became Orthodox. It was those times when the great leader was yet blinded by Byzantium's culture and decided to usurp title Emperor of Byzantian Empire. But it would not stop the democratic process. No, the letter of marriage proposal was sent out. A woman philosopher arrived to the court.
New ideology free of religious heads, gender inequality and proper democracy. New beginning. It was around the corner.

And now your borders make sense. This is all slowly making sense... Elective Gavelkind though? So the Democracy will split in two upon succession?
Elective gavelkind was what I got when went from Islam back to Tengri (religion of Lower Don capital). After Tengri I went Orthodox to usurp Byzantium from totalitarian Basileos. As Orthodox I got a young Cathar lady married into the court:

Oh, alright. Makes sense. Now all you need to do is make Cathar the dominant faith, to show how powerful democracy is (assuming you intend on doing that).
MAGYFEST DESTINY - The Founding Fathers
Search the woman! It all started with a woman. Ms Myfanwy Morgannwg was 40 years old Welsh immigrant who married a courtier at the White Yurt right after Orthodox ideology was accepted in Carpathia. She accompanied her husband to the meetings and wrote a book named "The State". Book was a diligent work on justice that can be provided in society where state and religion is seperated (no religious head) and men and women have equal rights.
Leader Mr Arpad read her work and since then she always got invited into so called Meetings of Five. Such meetings were regularly hosted in the White Yurt and future of Carpathia/ Byzantium discussed. It was in those meetings that new constitution was prepared and text of Declaration of The Cathar United States of Byzantium and Carpathia discussed, prepared, edited and discussed again. It was in those meetings where ideology of "The State" (Catharism in game) was accepted as the way for the brave and free.
Following persons took part into Meetings of Five. Interesting detail - all of them except for Mr Derbent were characterised as Just.
Mr Arpad Arpad, 43 years old Hungarian, the leader of the nation and the First President of the United States.
Mr Chval Mojmirid, 46 years old Bohemian. A slothful cynic, but brilliant dyplomat. Could be just, kind and charitable at times. All in all he contributed by gathering support to ideas of "The Five"
Mr Miklos Balassi, 66 years old Hungarian. He was the most mysterious and a reason of future speculations and conspiracy theorists. An Islamic mystic and mastermind theologian. His involvement was to set up ideology for new state.
Mr Oysteinn Oskyldr, 62 years old Norse warlord from Kiev. A man was a genius in defense. But the secret only few knew was that Mr Oskyldr descendant of brave Varangians was actually shy craven. He set up national defense plans and strategies.
Mr Tibor Derbent, 30 years old Hungarian. Intrigue master. Young, talented, ambitious bastard. Same time inspiring leader and proud. Terribly deceitful and cynical. He was the politician and happy to organize dirty things for The Five.
Those were the Founding Fathers. The Patricians of new Republic.
Cathar ideology was chosen (went back to Tengri, then took concubine Cathar, converted to Cathar). Byzantium was made primary title. Republic was proclaimed. The White Yurt was moved again - this time permanently to Constantinople.
The United States were born!

And we've arrived back at where we started. All this insanity in about a century... I so badly want you to continue this, but do you think you could share the savefile now?

This save file is couple of game weeks after the initial post. Where I kept on requesting vassals, courtiers too accept Cathar.
Currently only one county is Cathar. But there is army which will follow United States as long as United States are in war. We have Abbasyds as ally for now, but need to decide should we backstab them now, while we have 50k armies. Or we use Abbasyds and 50k against fragmented Europe..

Thank you, and I can't wait to see where this story goes. You have centuries to accomplish whatever goals you have before the EU4 portion comes. Convert all counties in the United States to Cathar, make Cathar the dominant faith, expand, repel the Aztecs.

Goal - to conquer rest of de jure Byzantines. To convert all provinces into Cathar. Side goals - to create independent Cathar republics outside Byzantine/Carpathia borders

Right, I should do that as well.
Means I need to control Latium and Jerusalem and what not. So, apparently gonna do some blobbing also outside de jure Byzantium..
Thanks again for sharing the savefile. Having a lot of fun messing around with it, and I feel like I have a good idea what's in this stories future: rebels as far as the eye can see.
Yeah, folk can be soooo totalitarian sometimes...
On other hand rebels means those event troops continue without need for external warfare. I have not played further yet, but I plan (or rather hope) to use that weak claim on Arabia eventually.
Yeah, it gets a little funny when its the seventh Tengri rebellion. Good thing the economy is so powerful, you got plenty of money to keep vassals happy.
