MAGYFEST DESTINY - Homeland Security Issue
Surrounded by enemies, backwards societies, facing internal and external threats. Not an easy destiny awaited new nation.
New report to Council on Byzantines was worrying. Leader of Byzantines could be described as despot. The nation raised against him, but unfortunately barbarians from the South oppressed the democratic opposition cruelly. Many crimes against mankind identified. Akakios, leader of the opposition was captured, blinded and castrated.
But even more worrying was the attitude internally. During report on atrocities against the prisoners, when speaker informed of psychological terror in prisons. For example,
Guard: Do you know when we are going to set you free?
(blinded and castrated) Akakios: When?
Guard: Let's see...
Some people in the room did laugh. Only those not patriotic enough could ever laugh.
It was possible that foreign agents had infiltrated the nation and now it was on risk to be divided into number of kingdoms.. or attacked.. or divided and then attacked... Divide et Impera.. Wait a sec! Divide et Impera - obviously that is a link to Byzantium!
Desperate times ask for desperate measures. Mr Arpad Arpad limited democracy for the greater good. Elections was a luxury free and brave Magyars could not afford, it was replaced with political system better known as "Open Agnatic". It was dictatorial model based on Sunni Abbasids. Magyars at War.
But before we get too strict on Mr Arpad, let's read a short note from his "Diary of Freedom Builder":
"I felt sick. I felt like doing treason to the very ideas I fought for, to the very principles many good Magyar men gave their lives for. But I had to protect the nation. Man, how I felt sick. MAGYFEST DESTINY - The Barbaric Byzantine Regime
The Orange Carpathia is the good guys land. The brave and free Magyars. One might ask why there is this ugly grey-ish spot in the middle of Carpathian State? Never trust Gavril Balgarsko is my answer. But no, he is not the heroe of story.
Contrary to free Magyars who liberated number of neighboring regions up to year 894, and almost liberated whole Bulgaria.. Byzantines were ruled by the iron fist of despotic Basileus Mr Basileious Makedon. Known for his cruelty and disregard to basic human rights, violence against prisoners and war crimes.
Famous Greek dissident and freedom fighter Konstantinos Doukas visited the land of free and home of brave. He gave a speech in Steppe White House. Speech that was repeated in Horse Messenger channels. He was a man who lost a lot in his fight against tyranny. Wife, blinded, tortured and killed by the beast Makedon. Himself castrated and humilitated, but never did his spirit broke.
His speech was inspiring, despite his physical condition. Many raised in the Steppe White House and talked about immediate call for action. About moral duty to liberate Greece. Yet, resistance was still strong. Pragmatic minds took an upper hand, talking about "souvereignity of the nations", blah, blah.
The last drop necessary was delivered later year 894. Magyar intelligence delivered an evidence. Byzantines were working on new chemical weapon. Named "The Greek Fire". It was unclear how far they were or how dangerous it was, but Carpathian United States had to act now. This time Council voted for the war.
OPERATION BREAKFAST was the codename for Democratic Invasion into Greece. Why Breakfast? Let me quote yet another paragraph from the "Diary of Freedom Builder":
"We all know that good breakfast is one of sausage and two eggs. Apparently Greeks do not undersand it. Their cultural habbit is to remove eggs at will. But can one sausage do? Without eggs it lacks the taste and becomes flabby peace of meat, lacking strength and consistence. Those are eggs that make breakfast complete and dessert so yammy.
We can't let them Greeks to their habbit of separating unseperable. Sausages must always come with eggs. No division! No separation! Let's save the breakfast!

Magyar pioneers found their way into Serb and Croat provinces as well. Constantinople, The Queen of the Cities, became known as The Elected President of Cities. Nobody could stop the eventual triumph of democracy and equal opportunities.
It was when new type of war started. Fanatical religious leader with noteworthy name Sisinnius from his cave in Rome declared the holy war (Crusade) against democracy and Magyar values. Various terrorist organizations (The Knights Templar, The Knights Hospitaller) were created and joined the war. Criminal regimes of Cornwell, Leon, Gent, Capua and others sent their fighters to Greece.
