"United States" instead of USA

Looking at http://www.europauniversalis3.com/images/stories/screenshots/Oct06/screen3.jpg , I would recommend that the name of the country be "United States" rather than "USA". In my opinion, full names of countries just look better, in the game context, than acronyms. I believe that the HoI/HoI2 team got it right when they chose "Soviet Union" instead of "USSR".

I concur - I was thinking that myself when I saw the screenshot

It would be nice if Poland became Poland-Lithuania when it annexes Lithuania, as well - but yes, United States, Great Britain, etc. look far better than USA, UK...

Indeed there was a GBR tag in EU2(although I dont remember that event firing for AI much, for some reason), but in Vicky, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland goes under the tag of ENG.

Yes, because England doesn't exist in the Victoria timeframe, nor HoI, etc.

In EU III, however, both England and Great Britain exist, and thus deserve seperate tags

I wonder if you can split the states up or via regions because the USA (United States or United Colonies, you pick) might never have formed due to regional differences and our lack of love of curling and hockey, hence the nation of Canada.

but isnt USA used by you americans all the time? I firmly recall the chant U... S... A..., at international sporting events. It seems that its a pretty excepted means of refering to your nation used around the world and in the united states. So really it comes down to subjective preferance instead of error on the part of paradox.

U... S... A... sounds ALOT better than trying to yell UNITES STATES OF AMERICA in unision chant. :rofl: Would prolyl give alot of people a headache of trying to yell that every event.
