Unit picture idea

When a new unit is researched let the player deside what pic u use for the unit. With the sudgested first in list, but all pics awailable for this lvl and from all countries. So if u play as sweden and get wrong pic for a panther just select frome the list.

Another idea is to make an artist create a bare unit where u put in the new equipment in the pictue where the units name is on a side. If infantry a pic on a soldier whit the correct uniform and the researched weapon in hand or on the side. If unit is in desert have desert equipment on. I the tank is in winter climate paint it white
But this should be like a free upgrade so it will take some time to change. So u first MkIV u send to the desert is still black. This will make imersion climb a notch. Even more if the painting of the units depict losses and veterancy. Rugged uniform and face. Kill markers on tanks and aircrafts,misson count on bombers. And ofcource if ur tank got bigger gun just change this part of the unit pic.

Actually, what I think would be great is having more unique unit pictures.

For instance, instead of having generic pictures for all of the technologies, customize the photos for each nation where appropriate (some of the "generic" technologies, such as industrial, don't necessarily need to be specific to a nation).

I think it would be neat to see a photo of an M26 Pershing when researching an 85mm tank as the US, a photo of a Panther when researching the same for Germany. Same for all the various units, including infantry.

Also, does anyone know for certain (because I am too lazy to look so far myself) if the stats are all the same across the board for every nation for an identical unit (in other words, is the British advanced infantry the same as Italian advanced infantry in terms of their various stats, etc, etc, etc)?

What I know, yes. So the picture is the real divider of what country u play. So even as I like random hoi forinstance or playing with small nations there is no way showing u play a sertain country.

Bummer. So that means that if Haiti ever developed level 4 infantry (land doctrine, minister effects, and leadership effects aside) they would be on par with German level 4 infantry?

If this is true, quite literally the only difference would be doctrine, policy, and leadership. I guess I can kind of see it, but I still don't think the quality of equipment and gear, and the quality of training would be the same across the board for all nations. I doubt seriously that Costa Rica could provide the same gear and training as, say, the U.S. or even Brazil. Not sure I really like the idea 100%.
