I am curious as to how the names of divisions will work.. I just briefly skimmed the Bismarck thread and noticed that it will automatically name a unit, once it's made. Therefore I have to ask a question, and I'm a little nervous because this has a slight relation to ban-able material.

If I created a division, would it's name be Grossdeutchland, and the next Leibstandarte, etc? How would land units be named?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

For those Grognards out there that want Historically accurate Division names and you are playing Germany you can go to www.feldgrau.com. The have a fairly complete list of German Army Divisions in WWII. I am looking for a book I have on the US Army that lists all the Divisions and the theaters the participated in. When I find it I will post the info here for those who want it.

You can re-name a unit to whatever you want. Yes, I could have the HMCS BarristerBoy sailing the North Atlantic if I really wanted to, or the BarristerBoy's Private Bodyguards Division.

Of course, since the generic names areso dull I try and pick historically accurate ones...

The unit names aren't too bad, but the Army names definitely need work (1st Corps, 2nd Corps). That's what I'm more likely to change around.
That should be easy done by some editing in armynames.csv... ;)

Excellent! So the PPCLI shall go forth once again :D

The Problem is that the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry is a Regiment, which is smaller than (and forms a part of) a division.

Proper Canadian Division names are unfortunately 1st Canadian Infantry Division, 2nd Canadian Armoured Division, etc.
