Does anyone else have the counter option turned on? Its the only way I play.
Yesterday, I was fighting in the Balkans. Greece, Bulgaria, and Turkey were on my side. Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia were against me.
EVERYONE WAS BLUE! I couldn't tell which units were which.
In EU2, if you do a "mouse over", it would tell you who a stack of armies belonged to. Great feature. Why it wasn't included in HoI is a complete mystery.
So here's two suggestions. They shouldn't be that tough to implement.
1. Put a two letter national designation on all counters. US, UK, JP, BU, RU, etc. There should be space, though the unit symbol might have to be moved over a bit. No one would mind, for the extra functionality.
2. Reinstate the "mouse over" functionality from EU2.
Personally, I think doing both would be the best option.
