Greetings Mechwarriors,

Please use the Report feature.
Please dont reply to friction or flamebait in kind.
Please dont post AT others, rather post topically towards discussion.
Please dont post snark, disrespect, incivility, or out of hand dismissiveness: Rather reserve the right to agree to disagree.
Please avoid opinion spamming. If argument is becoming circular, dont keep repeating the same assertions. Rather take a break and allow others to state their perspective until, there is something new to add.
The community is not a competition. The devs don't pay attention to attempted demonstrations of interlocutor skills or to volume bandwagoning. They do read for interesting and constructive positive discussions though.

Please endeavor to keep these requests in mind moving forward.

Some posts have experienced Jump drive malfunctions to the Far Country be used as nesting materials by the locals. Please be patient with forum staff in the event that partly constructive posts get caught in the Jump field. But it is difficult to draw a clean quarantine line around friction without inevitably at some point exercising "diplomacy of the knife": [this incomplete thing]- it is finished because it ends here.

Please carry on Respectfully.
Thank you as always.

You in fact, have not addressed my question of "where is the left and right torso sections on that centurion paperdoll?"
And those who do not represent left and right torso can be easily changed

Right/left torso in yellow in respect to central torso in orange.
Don't make me to alter all ten of them. HBS will want to hire me after :)

Sometimes it's incredibly hard to see what is happening.
I played the game last year and didn't had this problem. Others played it, none complained. I am tempted to make a survey of at least 5000 people to make my point.

Tabletop has used a standardized armor / structure diagram since its inception.
As I remember, not long ago I saw on video how the devs explained to the hardcore fans why the tabletop rules can't be implemented ad literam in this game and how changes must be made.
I wonder why are they so dead set on keeping this diagram...
Oh, they're not. That's why these unique pictograms were made in the first place and shown.

.in which case I'm not sure where you want to draw the line on the unique paperdolls. There are more than 10 mechs in the game (given all the variants) and they have different loadouts
The line is the default general unique shape of the mech. There is no weapon loadout to considerably alter this in a mech. This is nitpicking at its best what you're doing.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'easily spot the desired model at a glance'. In what context? In the mech lab? In combat?

mech lab and combat
As a matter of fact, during the mechlab stream, one dev wanted a particular model to add to his lance and didn't find it easily. now it is funny in the context of this thread.
When the stream comes to youtube, send me a message and I'll search the time stamp. I only watched for 5 minutes but I'll make the effort if you do not believe.

Different people, different opinions. Respectfully, MWO uses the same standardized paperdoll that HBS is using (maybe even the same asset) and no one seems to have an issue with it.

I haven't watched the dev mechlab stream but I'll take a look.
